Pelikan fountain pen (1929)

Truly beautiful pen and "paperwork"!

...probably the most important pen for a Pelikan collection.

Indeed!

I've been a little behind posting. The last 3 additions are a New-style Black M250, a Blue Marbled M250 Limited Edition with the Nib-On-A-Chain instead of a shirt clip, and the M101N tortoiseshell red, my favorite of the trio of M101N's.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

I like Tortoiseshell Red best.

Are the any differences in detail between the trio besides color and design?

No. The color is the only difference. They are otherwise the same in size and function. The Lizard has rhodium furniture versus yellow gold for the tortoises. Ink windows are different colors. They all have the same feel in the hand. I'll be posting a review of the trio, probably this coming Sunday, at my site.

My latest Pelikan is a red striated M800 (now discontinued). Despite being a stock model, I find it quite elegant. I got it from Regina Martini. She may not always have the lowest prices, but she always have had anything Pelikan I wanted in stock. She's not the most expensive seller either.
