This is one I'm excited about as I have been searching for one for a while...a vintage 300 from about 1955. And this one has a flex nib. I'll post a pic when it arrives.

Please, as soon as you get the pen put some pictures and a writing sample. I am looking for a 300 too. Congrats on the purchase👍

Hi christof,

nice pencil, do you sell the pencil?

Is there a difference between the pencil 570N 570 and 570NN? The biggest change on the fountain pens was the filling knob, but a pencil has´nt one ;-(

Yes, the difference is in the shape and lenght of the clip. And this one is exactly like the 400N clip. Here, a 400N and the 570N side by side for comparison:

Also, pencils for the 400NN series were thinner.

Just picked up a 140 with what seems to be a nice springy fine nib from the North Eastern Pen show here in the UK. I've been eyeing a 140 up for a while on the unmentionable auction site but after handling one today I was sold, it nicely fits in between the modern M320 and M200 sizes. Amusingly I'd mentioned long ago that the standard Pelikan green finish didn't do much for me yet here I am having acquired not one but two green birds within the past two weeks.

Haven't posted here in a while, but I've added a few Pelikans and ephemera in the past months.

Pelikan 100N and pencil, nestled like two birds of a feather, and a rough-around-the-edges Pelikan 400 brown tortoise with a glorious fine nib:

Some Spanish blotter advertisements from the 60's I think:

And Pelikan Piccadilly Circus R620, M600 Green o' Green (I've wanted these for the longest time) and R600 white tortoise,

grouped here with my other modern Pelikans:

Please let me know if you can't see the picture. I am using Photobucket since I rab out of my allocated space. I guess the picture doesn't appear until you the viewer click on the url.

At any rate, I used to have a small collection of lithograph toys ala Louis Marx.

Vroom, Vroom!

Wow, that ink looks great with the barrel of the M400.

Indeed! I also fill my M400 White Tortoise with the R&K Alt-Goldgrün. It's like the ink is made for that pen. It is really the nice combination and it is a pleasure to write with it.

:) There's a reason I tried that ink with it first! It seems to be a very popular combination. Next will probably be Kobe Shinkaichi Gold, which will hopefully get to me within the next week.

Congratulations on the white tortoise! I absolutely love mine and the R and K green gold combo (especially for grading), though I find myself drifting towards brown as a more workable everyday ink.

This is my favourite ink and pen combination too. Gorgeous!
