What's Your Most Recent Addition To The Flock?

In the same vein as the thread in the MB forum I thought it would be nice to have a place where members could show off their most recent Pelikan purchases such as pens, books, ink, etc..

Here are mine:

http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a629/Kevin_Keller/image_zps04607c9b.jpg

A 400 NN Tortoise set with an extra 450 pencil. The Tortoises are my favorite Pels and I've always wanted a 400NN version.

http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a629/Kevin_Keller/image_zps13663ae0.jpg

A 140 in green striate with a 450 pencil original to the set. Based on the inscription inside the case the set was given as a gift in July 1960 to a woman in the Netherlands.

I'm quite happy with my purchases and would love to see others' additions.

Nice additions to the flock! How nice to have the inscription in the case, that really makes it more special. Thanks for starting this post, MiamiArchStudent! If you don't mind my saying, you have great taste--I always enjoy seeing pics of your new pens ;) I just started getting into Pelikans, Here are mine, my first two Pelikans, an M400 White Tortoise and R400 Red/Black:

(sorry for the uber-grainy photos, my camera broke and I haven't replaced it yet)

I have a whole list of Pelikans I'd like to add to these eventually, but am enjoying these for the time being!

No new pel for me, I will wait till I can get my hands on a m1005 in second hand

Love the white tortoise, paloma! I've used my sparingly over the years as I don't want to spoil it. The red R400 is also very nice. How long does the Pelikan refill last? I have found rollerball refills to be very unreliable except for Cross refills.

Thank you, too, for the compliments! Its hard to go wrong with any Pelikan, gotta praise their designers for their traditional innovation.

The M1005 is beautiful. Hopefully, you will be able to find a reasonably priced one soon. The M1000 demonstrator is amazing, have you seen it?

I'll have to get back to you on the refill duration since I just got it. I'd heard that Pelikan refills are dry and don't last long, but so far

am very happy with the juicy medium refill. Hopefully it'll last reasonably long!

I'm embarrassed to participate in this thread as I've been on a Pelikan bender for the month of July. Here is a list of purchases made from 7/1 to now, all at great deals/discounts, and I promise I'm slowing down/stopping for a while. Kind of feel dirty typing it all out. The hard part of it all is hiding most of these from the wife. I'll post in a more dedicated thread pics of the full flock sometime down the road.

Wow! You've all set the bar VERY high, any of your recent acquisitions would be an 'out of the park' addition for me. So of course I am a bit embarrased to say that my most recent addition (a couple months ago) was an M805 in all blue (used) which I do not have a photo of. It is currently out for a modification, I'll post a pic here when it flies back to the roost.

I did and I like the m1005. About the m1000 demonstrator, I won't buy it because it is a huge pain in the ass to clean with some inks. I am not in hurry. Patience is something you need when you want to build a nice collection

The demonstrator is worth it in my eyes. About patience, those are wise words to go by for a collection. I waited patiently for the tortoise 400NN and now I have a set with the original case. It pays off to wait.

That's a nice haul of pens, no doubt about it.

There are yet the M600, M800 and the M1000.

Having owned all three, I can tell you they are fun, expecially the M1000 with O3B.

Not keepers, though. M200s and M400s are keepers.

My most recent purchases were two Pel 400s that I got within a few weeks of each other. The green striped pen has a fabulously flexible nib. The tortoise, that I bought from Rick Propas, has a smoooooth M nib. Both are in outstanding condition. These guys are keepers!

My most recent Pelikan was my M1000 which I got for quite a fair deal from a B&M. They even include the small pelican pen rest for free.

Only one new Pel for me. A 400 Brown Tortoise with a nice springy 14k OM nib from eBay, in very nice condition, identical to HDRoots above I think. I just need to age it now :) missing an M1000 now for a 'modern' size lineup from the M320 upwards. I should really do a group photo.

No new Pelikans. I've got four M800s and two M1000s and an extra nib in each type. They write beautifully and will last for longer than I will. I can only use one at a time so there's no rationale I can come up with to buy more.

Oh! I like that pen rest!

I wonder where I can find one?
