Solidarity: Noodler's Dark Matter - The history of the in brings to mind the gathering of scientist and military to create something both awesome and terrible.

New Word: Loner

Change is not mandatory, Survival is not required.

Loner: Private Reserve Chocolat. For the longest time this was the only ink on the shelf in my office at work. It now has a friend - a bottle of CdA Saffron.

Think: Iroshizuku tsutsuji, you have no idea how long I considered getting a bottle on amazon today even though I've blown my ink budget and then some. As a heads up to everyone else it's going for just 19.50 and is eligible for free Prime shipping. Oh the pain.

Ignorance:

Ignorance:

I would have been better off to remain in ignorance about this sale.....

Ignorance: Peacock Blue - yep, I had mixed mine with Skrip Green, ah, my ignorance betrayed me.

New Word: Experience

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Experience: CdA Saffron. One of my students borrowed one of my pens to make a quick note. Although she was familiar with fountain pens, she had never encountered an ink with discernible shading. She was entranced. That was quite the experience for her.

Irritating: Diamine Sargasso Sea. I want to love this ink, but it gets cloggy in a short amount of time and is generally not well behaved.

New word: fascinating

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Fascinating: Herbin Bleu Nuit. It's fascinating how an ink I once considered dull has been given a new lease of life in one of my pens.

Feast: Diamine inks in all their flavours - their reasonable prices, 30ml bottles, and dazzling array of colours usually leads to an overindulgence of ink purchasing.

New word: Famine

Famine: Private Reserve Avocado - ironically "famine" makes me think of food and green vegetation

Akkerman China Town Red, because it threw me into a Vortex of inky purchases.

Helix: Mont Blanc Einstein - it reminds me of pencil sketches in my chemistry, physics, and biology notes.

Did you ever see with movie Blind Date -- don't let her drink.... that reminds me of Plistumi

Which reminds me of Voorhoot Violet.

No, that's Plistumi. Frank C and I gave her the bottle from the group buy. We were in LA for the pen show. Plistumi went to fly back to NY and TSA woudn't let her travel with her ink. She proceeded to drink it. She's a doctor and a super chemist so I'm sure it was fine, but even still.....

New Word is still Restraint

Restraint: Iroshizuku Shin-Kai as it's understated and a great example of "less is more"

Security regulations are ridiculous sometimes. I hope she didn't end up swallowing the marble in her haste.

Soccer: Kaweco Palm Green. I'd be surprised if the pitches are a lush green by the end of the Cup.

Champion: Diamine Pumpkin - when I have to select an ink to fill my grading pen this ink wins the battle every time. Bright, not easily matched, stands out against student writing, and performs well on most any paper.

Victory: can only be in connection with Winston Churchill. De Atramentis's scented ink Tobacco fits the bill in more way than one I would think, although to be fair I've never used the ink, so I couldn't say if it smells like cigars.

New word: stink :P
