Refreshing = J Herbin Orange Indien - I always feel happy and refreshed when I am using it.

Today is both the birthday of Shakespeare and the feast of St George; pick either (or both) as the new word!

I am no longer very active on FPN but feel free to message me. Or send me a postal letter!

Diamine Red Dragon, because I think of St. George when I think of Dragons, and I think Dragon's required tributes.

New Word: Sacrifice

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I've kind of imagined the same thing with Diamine Chocolate Brown!

On that note, this reminded me that I've thought that FPN would look nice with a brown theme, so I went to the bottom of the page and found the library theme... I rarely like changing the looks of things, and I was imagining something more brown-on-brown, but I think I might just try this out for a while!

Diamine Oxblood. I totally think Diamine sources offal for this stuff.

Flighty: J. Herbin Gris Nuage, a fleeting cloud looking for bigger brothers and sisters to join for an April shower. (I've just reminded myself of the fact that I just can't seem to write good poetry.)

Noodler's Air-Corp Blue Black. It's what I'm going to ink my Vanishing Point that has long not seen use with when its new nib unit arrives.

Taxi driver: J. Herbin Rouge Opera because I was seeing red after the last time I was in a San Francisco cab - the ride was death-defying and ended in a car accident (his fault) with me mildly injured; after all that the guy had the audacity to ask for a tip!

New word: Spring

Oh yes - this was a couple years back. It's now just one of my amusing travel stories.

Summer: Diamine Pumpkin - it's bright, bold, warm, and cheery - all things that scream summer to me.

New word: Rain

Iroshizuku Kiri-same. A nice, warm grey with what looks like a bit of a pinkish cast, IIRC. I've wanted to get a bottle of it but it's hard for me to get to the level where I go and spring for Iroshizuku. It's been raining and is going to rain all day here.

Laughter: Diamine Hope Pink. I have this in a a very masculine and unassuming pen. People usually laugh when they see this bright, girly ink coming from it.

Wow, that's an unforgettable taxi ride. I'm glad to hear you survived relatively soundly. Was he on pot? I can't think of any other reason that would make a driver think he can ask for a tip after all that.

Giggles: Noodler's X-Feather, the best ink to silence the fits of giggles that might otherwise arise from tickle torture.

Smile = Noodler's Manhattan Blue. Probably my favorite blue ink on the planet, it makes me smile every time I use it.

New word: inexorable (okay I was in a weird mood, and forgot the word I was *going* to pick...).

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
