Monteverde Blue-Black - Due to the Monteverde M.

FRUITS

De Atramentis Apple Blossom (yeah, I know they actually have fruit-scented ones, but this came to mind first).

Ballad would be a dancing song, and all this week I've been hoping to see the Aurora Borealis dancing across these northern skies; I've kept a regular, if not continuous lookout, and others in the county have seen some action, but all I've seen beyond the clouds is Borealis Black; the colours are out there somewhere, but they've given me the slip.

Chagrin: Private Reserve Chocolat. When trying to demonstrate the beauty of fountain pens to a colleague I picked up the jar to fill a pen and promptly dropped it on the floor, much to my chagrin. It shattered and splattered everything in my office. Including my colleague.

The new MontBlanc Purple. Really...it isn't out yet?

Noodler's Saguaro Wine. I guess when I used it I was left waiting for some kind of magic to follow up the enchantment. I had never used a magenta ink before and was struck by its appearance, especially on a page full of it: the entire sheet seems to take on a reddish hue.

Wistful: J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune - I bought a bottle ages ago and loved the colour, but when I bought a new bottle the colour wasn't the same. I'm always a little wistful-feeling when I use it now.

Signature - Cap Cod Cranberry because I use it to sign all my letters. I think it's really funny.

Tempestuous: Raging, conflicting emotions - definitely PR Ebony Purple. I love the colour, hate the feel of it in the one pen I really want to use it in.

Learning - Bay State Blue - it has been a learning experience.

Elevation: Diamine Sherwood Green. It makes me think of the lush green trees the last time I visited the Height of Land in PA National Park.

I just received my first bottle of Ancient Copper. Can't wait to try it out. I'm thinking something broad, stubbish.

New word: Moody

Diamine Umber. It's not pretty, bold, bright, clear, strong. Wouldn't exactly call it brooding or dark, but perhaps moody fits best for me.

So, new word: brooding.

It looks lovely with my stub nibs - some fabulous shading, to be sure!~ Have fun playing.

Brooding: Diamine Damson. For some reason the deep, muted colour of this ink just seems to reflect sadness, unhappiness. Not even sure why.

New word: Lush
