Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Unctuous: Noodler's Heart of Darkness

New word: Playful

Noodler's Apache Sunset -- best described by ethernautrix as crazy beautiful. Love it for cards, best wishes etc.

New word: Rediscover [the joy of photography -- but that's just me]

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development

Rediscover - Noodler's Midway Blue. The V-Mail series is a rediscovery and Midway is a nice, easy to clean, low maintenance ink.

New word:

je·june
jiˈjo͞on/
adjective
  1. 1.
    naive, simplistic, and superficial.
"their entirely predictable and usually jejune opinions"
  2. 2.
(of ideas or writings) dry and uninteresting.
"the poem seems to me rather jejune"

I fear I might have missed the point (or meaning) entirely, but... Noodler's 54th Massachusetts

The word was enfranchise, and I was thinking "Violet Vote".

Noodler's Black. My first ink, ordered alongside one of those Bulow x450s. Reminds me of those fresh newbie days in which I had just learned about fountain pens, and knew only of this pretty blue thing and the black waterproof ink someone had suggested in a review.

Dysphoria - Pelikan 4001 Black (because I keep it in a black Technixx that I always worry will leak but carry to sign documents while in uniform).

New Word - Jumping (so the next person won't have to look up the word in the dictionary - not like I've ever had to lol)

Montblanc Ink of Joy: it's bright, orange, cheerful, jumps off the page.

New word: thunderstorm

Thunderstorm: Noodler's Nightshade looks looks like the color of the clouds in a severe thunderstorm. Like staring into a funnel cloud.

New Word: Snow

Change is not mandatory, Survival is not required.

Snow = J. Herbin Bouton D'or (thought about 'white' ink then thought 'don't eat the yellow snow' which inexorably lead to the old joke about the boy peeing her name in the snow in her handwriting.)

New Word = Caught

caught = Noodler's 54th Massachusetts. Because I didn't think I'd like the color at all when I tried it, but went for it hook line and sinker.... :headsmack:

New word: bookworm

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Bookworm: PR Chocolat - this is the ink I use to take notes when I am reading at home.

New word: Dusty

J. Herbin Cacao du Brésil. Can go anything from a light gray/brown to a dark taupe color. An ambiguous identity, and one of my favorite colors to use. It's very gentle on the page, warm without being overbearing. The color and its leaner lubrication compared to the other inks in my small group remind me of dusty.

Private Reserve Black Cherry. Slightly obscure connection, but the shade of brown I'm getting with it out of my fine nibbed Esterbrook makes me think of old maps with a brown tinge to the paper.

As a contrast to the traveling theme, new word "sedentary".

"So convenient a thing it is to be a reasonable creature, since it enables one to find or make a reason for everything one has a mind to do."

- Benjamin Franklin

Sedentary: Parker Quink Washable Blue. First ink, used in cartridges and later bought a bottle because it was a ink I knew. Never found it inspiring, interesting or particularly beautiful, nice to use. Faded, dull school papers. Meh.

New word: contemplating.

Contemplating: MB Albert Einstein. This is the ink I'm currently using as I plot and plan my attack on my latest data analysis and manuscript revisions.

New word: Lucky
