This is a gift for my teacher. Don't know whether he likes it or not. I put it on his office desk and ran off ......

All the texts as well as the decorations are handwritten(hand-drawn?)~ There are definitely countless flaws in this piece and I would sincerely appreciate it if you can give me any advice~ Thank you very much~

Are you kidding me with this???? You did all of that by hand...the lettering and the border work?

Sheeesh....I'm not qualified to critique that caliber of work.

To me, it's absolutely awesome...I wish I could do it......

and thank you so much for showing it to us!

That is a beautiful composition Chocoadele - thank you for sharing the pictures.

What is the size of this piece? What paper, ink, nibs did you use?

I like the look of the paper a lot - it looks almost too rough for pointed pen work - kudos to you for managing it superbly. We (I) want to see more of your work now :-)

ETA: I see you asked for advice in your first post. The overall composition is nice but I think the border is a bit too strong for the writing. Allowing some space around the writing would allow the piece to breathe and improve the overall look.

You could also use a lighter shade of the ink for the border.

Regardless of the suggestions above - I find the work quite attractive and you should be proud of producing it.

HOLY (bleep) (bleep) JESUS CHRIST (bleep)

...

I sure as hell can't give you any advice, or point out anything you haven't already noticed, but I can tell you that if someone that did that for me, I would be moved to tears.

I can't see him not liking it! By the way, does he know who gave it to him? I think he would appreciate it even more if he could associate it with a person.

The work is beautiful. I hope you realize that you have a real talent. Please use it, don't let it languish.

Hello ~ First of all, thank you very much for your suggestions and I'm glad that you like it :)

The paper was indeed quite raw and thick, almost broke my nib (one thing I found extremely disturbing was that it was difficult to erase the guide lines I drew on the paper T^T ), ...and of course I had to be very careful with the ink~

As for the border, I totally agree. It feels crowded partially because the border was previously completed before the writing ~ next time I'll take care of that :)

I used the most common black ink, and a speedball nib (never paid attention to the type, sorry...)

Again, millions of thanks~

What beautiful work! Glad that you shared this with us.

It is hard to appreciate the details, as your picture is too small to see well on my monitor. The file size is 115 KB and that is rather small. But what I can see shows excellent work.

Love the border, that must have taken hours to do.

Keep up the good work!

Yours,
Randal

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?
