Thanks Zaddick. I am among those who prefer the old barleycorn pattern on Solitaire MB pens and had long been looking for one with such pattern. I also got the matching ballpoint pen.

You need to stop you collection so that the rest of us can have a chance at the greatness that is still out there in the old pens. I just got a 146 from the 50s and am now on the hunt for a similarly old and flexible 149

The last recruit for my small Montblanc army is not a fountain pen. The pix 72-2 was produced between 1937 and 1941 according to Collectible Stars I. This comes with the original box and the instructions booklet in Hungarian.

I like the old vintage MB pencils (i have a few myself), and they are just as well built as their fountain pens.

Thanks farmdogfan, I too am in the process of being bitten by the MB pencils bug :-) I agree with you in that they are solidly built and sober. Would love to take a look at your MB pencils collection ;-)

Apart from my 136, I've given up chasing the 13X series. It is expensive and above all stressing! ;-)
