Not really an ink bottle, but a vintage JIF-Waterman shop display, made out of aluminium, for 4 ink bottles (dodecagonal ones) ...

OH MY that's stunning!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Wow! Some gorgeous photos here! Some of you have probably already seen these pix... I like yellow inks. They don't get used a lot because my correspondents complain that yellow ink is practically unreadable. Picky, picky, picky!

I also collect Sanford inks in those little square pressed glass bottles. My parents had one of red and one of green on their desk for christmas cards and I sort of imprinted on them.http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r315/skyppere/IMG_4477_zps5fff493e.jpg

they come in two sizes too.

I also collect vintage skrip inks

I used to have more ink...

This was a few days ago here in north central Massachusetts.

Looking for a black SJ Transitional Esterbrook Pen. (It's smaller than an sj)

My family consider me a bit of a fossil for using fountain pens that you fill from a bottle, so, here's my reply:

The guilty party, or just curious?

Alas it was I who broke the glass. Shere Khan just came to investigate...

Thanks Inky, it was too late in the year for snow but it was very beautiful.

  • 4 weeks later...

I like yellow inks... but due to a steadily mounting chorus of boos, I no longer send snails written in yellow... but I still collect 'em

[...]

oh and I like Orange inks too...

That is very beautiful. I fell for diamine amber, and my spouse uses pumpkin. While pumpkin is legible, I only use amber in a brush-pen to highlight or decorate.

Everything is impermanent.

Thanks JeanManuel.

I'm ashamed to say that a few more friends have joined the party now.

(although a couple who didn't party much were given away to more deserving homes)

I understand!

My inks want to invite Saskia_Madding's over for a party. Her inks are locked away in the basement and my inks are near the neon. Seems like a Country Mouse adventure.

Your shots always look like they've been taken in a Gentleman's club in Berkley Square.

Gorgeous.
