Impressive!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

It's always fun to see new inks and bottles. I confess to repurposing great perfume bottles for some of my favorite inks.

  • 2 weeks later...

As I was organizing my desk today, I decided to put all my inks in one place and snap a photo. My camera is not that great, but it gets the job done. My wife remarked that she did not realize I have so many bottles, even though she purchased most of them.

I like yellow inks... but due to a steadily mounting chorus of boos, I no longer send snails written in yellow... but I still collect 'em.

I remember seeing little square pressed glass bottles of red and green ink on my parent's desk so I collect them as well

They come in two sizes. I think I have all the little ones. No idea how many different big ones there are:

I have always liked the PenIt inks/bottles from Sanford. But I don't want the smaller bottles really. How big are the larger sized bottles? Have you actually used any of the ink; if so, did it cause any problems or have any issues at all?

The big ones are 2 oz. I use the turquoise all the time and have never had a single problem with them. I also use the red and green at christmas and again, nolo problemo. I just stick sanford ink into my permanent search on e bay and they come up from time to time...

This is my oldest bottle. It's NOS; it doesn't appear to have been opened, and I don't intend to do so ;-)

I just love the Art Déco design.

I need to start looking more for the PenIt inks. I have largely satisfied my desire for vintage Skrip, so now I will have something else to look for.

I might add that Sanford Ink shows up with some regularity on Ebay... like everything you find that it's EVERYWHERE for a while, then no where to be found, then back again....

Just don't buy any bottles that **I** might want! :)
