Have you tried Gemstone Green? It actually holds up on fade tests and is beautiful.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

A most wonderful thread; I love all the older ink bottles. My collection is pretty much from the last ten years, so here's a start: "The wall of Edelsteins" :)

Edelsteins%2BIV.jpg

that's a great picture! I used to have a bunch of pelikan cartridges and one of them was Orange. My favorite orange and so I searched the world over...(well ok, I never left the house) for a bottle of it. Then out comes Edelstein Mandarine Orange and THAT'S IT! I like these inks...

cheers

I have, although it's been quite a while. I remember it as being a bright, vibrant green. Perhaps if I acquire another suitably colored NoNonsense, I will try it out again. :)

Thanks so much; it lives in my 149 with an EF nib; kind of like an endless sunset :)

Must get decent pics of my inks up, they are all displayed on top of books along with sealing wax, stamps, glass pens, dip pens, tins of nibs etc on the bookshelves in my hallway - here's one corner :D post-95219-0-40466900-1416539324_thumb.jpg

UK-based pen fan. I love beautiful ink bottles, sealing wax, scented inks, and sending mail art. Also, thanks to a wonderful custom-ground nib by forum member Bardiir, I'm currently attempting calligraphy after years of not being able to do so due to having an odd pen-grip :D

  • 3 months later...

I posted this as part of my 9 month celebration set in the general section, but I'll post it here as well since I really like how my family shot turned out.

I've asked my inks to come out of their boxes and line up for a family portrait, but they have not yet complied. Until that time, I can only just admire everyone else's collections. I especially enjoy seeing all the old ink bottles.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

They need to be still lifes because running after inks in the wild is just darn tough.

Is that your art work? It doesn't appear to be signed. The Cd'A bottle indicates that it is fairly recent.
