The April, 1983 issue of "Byte" -- that great ex-magazine -- had an article on the ultimate word-processor. It had a character-insertion-point, a character-deleteion-point, a controller somewhat like the joy-stick used in many games. The character-deletion-point enabled an undo-feature otherwise found only on a programmer's editor created by Richard M. Stallman.

Just think, a classroom full of kids learning basic cursive using these, and some evil teacher switches them to Copperplate...

 

I rather like the idea. There are some kids who would learn better with something like this.

Just think of those scenes in "The Matrix" where new skills are downloaded into the protagonists...perhaps you can load a new font into your "pen".
