My Pen Collection

Now I've had an uncanny, unexplainable love of pens since I was little. Heck, I even loved pencils, the tiny little broken and sharpened pencils, the ones no one wanted, if they had an eraser too, they were perfect, anyway, I am finally ready to share my collection, which I started not that long ago really, life always got in the way to get started on anything like this, but now in my life where I am stable, I can finally have a little collection...

I do write snail mail letters to friends and family, I much prefer it to emailing, and I do a lot of drawing, and I find practicing penmanship also is a form of meditation and helps in other areas of my life, including guitar and typing at the computer. I find myself making less typos for example. With no further ado, here is my collection.

First, the pen chest, which holds 24 pieces, is a beautiful cherry wood, felted lining, smells great, best box I've owned. (Only case I've owned)

Nice collection :)

I notice some empty spaces on the trays though. Do you already know how you are going to fill them ? ;)

Good selection. I would like to see how it grows in 12 months time.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Thanks for all the replies, I would have replied sooner but I must not have had instant email notification enabled for the topic.

As for the empty spots? I would like to eventually get and try a Mont Blanc, have considered the John Lennon Limited Edition, but I'm saving for my first house so that will have to wait...

there are also some cheaper random fountain pens from around the world I'd love to try so that might take some slots for the time being.

I love writing letters and drawing, so all my pens get good use.

Thanks again.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a few pens coming in soon, I can't wait to show off, and think they'll fit in nicely.
