Did you bought anything from pensavenue? (How is your experience from them?)

FWIW, I've purchased Diamine inks from them. Their service was good. I ordered one afternoon and received the parcel the next day. A day after that, they called to confirm if I'd received the order and if the bottles reached undamaged.

i noticed that they've recently increased the prices of the Diamine inks. Not sure if Diamine raised the prices, or if it's the falling Rupee.

So far happy with pens avenue. Initially they had plastic 30 ml Diamine bottles which were cheaper but now glass 30 ml bottles. So the price hike should be genuine.

If you are interested I can post an ink chart. I have around 25 colours.

Where did you purchase Clairefontaine? I am keen to get them.

I got my last Clairefontaine order from La Couronne in Netherlands but they no longer carry their notebooks, sadly. bureaudirect.co.uk carries them and i just placed an order for 5 notebooks yesterday. They havent charged my card yet, so dunno what's going on.

I did buy a couple of inks from Pens Avenue. Were I getting multiple bottles, I too might order from the UK, but for 1-2 bottles, it isnt worth the delay. They shipped the order within a couple of days, and it got to me a day after. Very painless. I am going to buy a few more Diamines from them.

Mohan - thanks for those writing samples!

True bliss: knowing that the guy next to you is suffering more than you are.

Great samples!

If you are worried about fading, look at some of the fade tests. You can download a list here of the 2012 Summer Fade Experiment Results.

Yellows, oranges and reds were on the whole, quickest to fade in our experiments. Blacks as a rule did the best. KTC never faded.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

If you're looking for cheap but decent ink, use Hero brand :) I get it for less than 3 bucks in a book store near my house, but on ebay it goes for around 5 i believe

"But why do you always speak in riddles?"
"I solve them all."

Bonny, we don't have any Hero inks that have been tested. Feel like sending a few samples for the 2013 fade test?
