Does anyone know what modern pen refill will work with a Pelikan Silvexa ballpoint pen? You can view a picture of the pen with its original refill using the hyperlink below.

I am awaiting the arrival of my new pen (picture made by the seller for eBay listing) in the mail -- hopefully, it will arrive from Spain this week; I already own the matching pencil. While I may end up using one of the cut-to-fit standard refills, I would prefer to use a refill that has color and ink-type options. Does anyone know if there might be a way to fit a different type of refill -- even one for a different pen maker -- for use in this pen?

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! : )

I thought that you might enjoy knowing the outcome of my search for a refill for my Pelikan 555 Silvexa ballpoint pen. I emailed some folks on eBay and on other pen-selling sites who sold similar pens. One seller gave me a refill model that I could not find anywhere but this was a start as I was able to find sites selling refills by the same maker. The best of these sites were CultPens.com and Passion4Pens.com both of which provided information and pictures of refills. So, I emailed folks at both sites. Both Joseph Ptasinski at Passion4Pens.com and Andrew Sumner at CultPens.com were FANTASTIC! They answered questions that I had regarding refills on their sites and confirmed that the Schmidt 700M and Schneider Express 75 (which comes in fine, medium, and broad) would fit my pen. So, I ordered these as well as some other pen refills that I found on these sites from Passion4Pens.com and the Yaffa Pen Refill Outlet site. So, my Pelikan 555 Silvexa ballpoint is now fully functional -- I have Schmidt 700M refills and Schneider Express 75B (broad) refills that I can use in the ballpoint pen (see picture for pen with the two mentioned refills)

and, since I had previously purchased the matching Pelikan 555 Silvexa pencil (which takes 1.18 mm leads), I have a great Pelikan 555 Silvexa pen and pencil set (see picture for pen and pencil together).

As part of my search, I had contacted Pelikan Customer Service via the Pelikan web site. I provided all information about the pen, including the model name and number, and a description of the refill as well as stated that the current/modern Pelikan/Parker-style refill does not fit the pen. In addition, I stated the other refills that I had tried to fit to the pen. In Nancy's Pelikan Culstomer Service reply to my inquiry, she stated that all Pelikan pens use the Pelikan refill -- obviously, she had not read my inquiry. So, of course, I replied, quoted my own inquiry and attached a picture of the pen with its refill. In the end, I educated her about refills for the pen as well as the existence of vintage Pelikan pens. If this was not such a sad statement about "customer service" at Pelikan then it would have been amusing.

So, all's well that ends well -- and I have some new pen friends! : )

This should definitely be pinned at the top of the forum for future reference.
