Really good review! I like the color it just seems like the ink is missing some... character. Its unexciting to me for some reason.

I felt the same way when I tried this ink the first time. I stopped using it, but I returned to it lately, realizing that it was a good answer for an easy-to-clean, high-contrast ink for use extra fine and dry-writing pens. It's a very similar color to Montblanc Royal Blue but a lot more saturated (and more pH neutral, if that's anything to care about). I just picked up a backup bottle from Nathan Tardif at the Boston Pen Show (and also a bottle of Qin Shi Huang, which would qualify for a "And now for something completely different..." lead-in).

Jokob, thank you for a great review. I love this ink, but my goodness it behaves like a complete diva! The dry time is crazy, but worth the wait. Yes this is my most diva ink and get pandered to way too much!

Hmm... you seem to have gotten a much prettier shade of LCR ... I recall the color being boring, but now I don't actually remember.... hmm....

You're very welcome! ^^ I haven't had as much trouble, but I haven't written with it much, mostly a little drawing and playing with it. I think longer dry times are inherent to inks that shade; if an ink dries too quickly, the pigment has no chance to flow back along the line and create shading.

Are you using it in a dry nib? In that case, it wouldn't be nearly as striking.
