No pens but today I wanted to take a picture of the back of one of my watches for documentation purposes and so Abbey Road helped me.

Maine Coon's are not very common this side of the pond, but I can fully understand why people get hooked on them.

I do so hope Ozzie gets to grow up. He's not large by Maine Coon standards, but is our biggest cat at the moment despite the fact he's only 18 months old. He had an 'Intersusseption' last year, where some of his intestines telescoped inside another part, and promptly died off due to a lack of blood supply. He had to have about 18" of small intestine removed at 6 months old.

Ozzie, being the runt of the litter, was smaller than the 3 week younger Maine Coon kitten we had from another breeder - Floyd. Floyd was magnificent, a wonderful looking cat, pure smoky grey with strong Maine Coon features and a character to match. Unfortunately Floyd took to hunting rabbits, in a field on the other side of the road. Quick though he was, he had no chance of safely crossing a rush-hour road when he wanted a snack. He died in our arms from a head injury at 14 months old.

Our first Maine Coon kitten, Gryff, died less than a month from his third birthday of a heart attack, that was about 18 months ago. He was becoming magnificent before he died. The tiles around the fireplace in the photo below are 6" square:

Regards,

So sorry to hear about Gryff :( Big hugs to you! Beautiful cats!

So many amazing animals, pens and watches here :D I rarely answer but I do enjoy reading this thread alot!

As for dog aggression what has helped my dogs has been to never let the dog meet any thing before you do, always go in front of your dog when approaching other dogs and keep your dog close by your side so you're "in this together" Alot of dog aggression comes from the dog thinking he has to protect the owner from real or imagined threats, so if we can show the dog that it is our job to walk in front, to protect the dog not the other way around! Then many dogs will start to calm down alot :)

She looks sweet, DanF. I really like her unique coloring.

Thanks kimy, they call that a 'torby", short for tortoiseshell tabby.

The one and only cat that ever owned me (allergies) was a silver tortoise shell. The dull silver over color looked like an old nickle, so she was named Nikki. She was pretty ornery and lived to a ripe old age catching mice and chasing McDonald's straws (her favorite game). Your cat is very pretty!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

I don't have any pets myself because my landlord won't allow them, but here's a few pictures of my manfriend's family dog:

Unfortunately, I'm never around to take a picture of him right after a haircut, just when he starts getting scraggly.

He's a bichon poodle mix, and just the sweetest thing. Getting very old, so I'm not sure how much longer he will be around. He's such a wimp, though, that I don't think he would ever go after one of my pens...

'The Yo-Yo maneuver is very difficult to explain. It was first perfected by the well-known Chinese fighter pilot Yo-Yo Noritake. He also found it difficult to explain, being quite devoid of English.

So we left it at that. He showed us the maneuver after a sort. B*****d stole my kill.'

Max is gorgeous.

Here's a pic of my beautiful, little, 14yr old toy poodle - Pepper. (He's so black it's hard to see his beautiful, happy face.) This is a rare moment when he's sleeping. He may be old for a dog, deaf and going blind, but he's as playful and full of fun as he was when he was a puppy.

He would never chew a pen; he's never chewed up anything he shouldn't - he has too much class for that. However, if it was something associated with chocolate there is nowhere it would be safe. (He's had his stomach pumped twice because he somehow managed to access chocolate.)

This is Taiko, a very long time ago. He was never interested in pens, although he loved being on the desk. When he got bigger he took to sleeping on my keyboard and do not like it when I tried to move him so that I could use it.

A much older Taiko and a different desk, but still his favorite napping place:

Thanks.

Wow, 14 years old!. You must have a lot of wonderful memories with Pepper over the years. He looks so fluffy and nice in the picture makes me feel like reaching in and petting him.

Taiko reminds me of my Calico cat Misty a couple decades ago. He always use to sleep by my keyboard as I studied for exams. Always kept me company. Miss him sometimes.

He would love that - he loves attention and thinks everyone he passes in the street has spent their entire life just waiting to meet him. Here he is about 1/2 hour ago when I returned from work. He was hassling me for a walk. Unfortunately, it's raining heavily so no walk tonight.
