got ahab today and without even trying it first I made this grind similar to yours. The other option was to cut the sides with dremel. I get 1.6 max thickness, maybe up to 2mm but I have to push too much to get 2mm. I would say this is a pen that normally would flex around 1.2, and with more pressure up to 1.6.
