I had the chance to compare these two pens side-by-side, in their boxes, at a retail store last year. Apart from the fact that they wanted ~US$90 for the Vac 700 (they hadn't updated their price list), the pen seemed a little long and unwieldy to me - though I didn't get the chance to try it out! I'm thinking I'll wait till the Vac Mini comes along - both in terms of size, and the smaller ink capacity, I think that'll suit me better. In the meantime, I *love* my Diamond 540/580s and my Mini...
