Adding To My Italians...

Recommended Posts

I pulled out my Pentrace 2004 Limited Edition that had been sitting for quite sometime, filled with PR Avocado (the newer formula) and it started right up! (Is Filcao still in business?)

I have just added a Stipula Passoporto (the one I mentioned under the repair thread) and I did just order the Stipula Israel 65 as a gift to my husband....

All this got me thinking about my Italians....I have more than I realized!

Delta (2), Filcao (3), Aurora(2), and Stipula (2)....

I love my Italian pens too. It started simply enough:

L to R: Aurora Mare, Aurora Talentum (my first fountain pen ever), Omas Mueller, vintage Omas Extra, Delta Dolce Vita, Visconti Homo Sapeins, and Visconti Stipulas - Sahara and FPN LE. The Dolce Vita and Homo Sapiens are gone, but my Omas collection has grown a bit since then. I have these to write with

Whichwatch you are a person after my heart! I too have the Collexione The Paragon (to be looked at) and an evil number to be written with. Omas is a spectacular brand. One question - it looks like you have a paragon in the Autunno celluloid - is that right?

If you mean third from left in the group photo and fourth from left in the Collection photo, I've always heard that color referred to as Saft Green.

What is the name of the color of the third pen from the right?

Thanks.

Gerry

I have usually heard the third pen from the right called "Saffron" in the US. I have also heard it referred to as "Senape"

I picked up one like it in Rome a couple of weeks ago at Stilo Fetti: three thin bands and a clip without roller. It is marked as a LE: 017/131. They told me it was a limited edition made for Stilo Fetti. It has a gorgeous flexie nib. In a couple of days, I'll post a pic.

There are some beautiful Italian pens in this post. I lean toward Omas, Aurora, and Montegrappa, myself.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Ah, sorry, it was the poor quality on my CPU screen - it looked brown!

Yes, saffron. But I also like the Italian senape= mustard. It does have the look of mustard seeds. Pic following shortly

I know the pen you're referring to it but I know it as the Burkina. I have a few of these; and I must say, I like the mustard analogy much better :)

Is that the country, Burkina faso, which used to be called Upper Volta?

Here are the pics of the Omas I got at Stilo Fetti in Rome. Comments welcomed! The cap close up on the right reads: "OMAS Italy 017/131"

Very nice, congrats on the new acquisitions!

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)
