Duke a newly extablished fountain pen manufacturer in China. It has 2 factories, one in Hainan and the other one in Shanghai. The factory has only got less than 20 years history. Most of their products have a heavy nice box, very good for a gift. Some of their model are quite famous now, including Ruby, Sapphire and 209-1 calligraphy set.

Hey,Friends ,can you tell me why you know this ?

The details of Duke as a fountain pen company aren't too hard to find out. There is some of the history on the Dukepen.com website.

Hi

I bought their Charlie Chaplin model on ebay a few years ago. It was a little small for me but the nib was really excellent

Chaim

HI,Chaim ,can you show me which DUKE PEN model you brought ?

it was to small for you to hand-held it ?i thought maybe big pen-holder is more suitable for you .

As for me ,my slim hand not easy to hold the large pen .I would prefer to chose slim one ,with elegant style .

Recently ,i am interested in the DUKE pen of No .89B Dream .

I would share more about this model latter .Now here just shared the picture and writing .

Best Regard ,

And with Mr Gao (ycpens) being one of our favourite and most trusted sellers on E-Bay, he is likely to have had quite a few dealings with Duke over the years.

Regards,

Richard

Thank you so much for your kind support to us.

The pen is short. You can put the cap on the barrel when you write with the pen.

The Duke pen I prefer is the Porcelain

http://www.giardino.it/pens/duke/IMMAGINI/PorcellLotus.jpg

it's so delicate and elegant.

But the most impressive is the Guibao (L.E.), in my opinion.

http://www.giardino.it/pens/duke/IMMAGINI/GuibaoCh.jpg
It's the most tipical Chinese, as we - Western people - imagine Chinese pens should be: rich, overdecorates, gold and colors...

I own quite a selection of the Duke pens. It was one of the first brands that I bought on Ebay when I started using fountain pens again. My favorite is the Dark Green Sea or something to that effect. Its got the abalone shell strips in it and writes beautifully and always. I have the Mako's, the ruby and sapphire, Most in their boxes. Great pens, great quality and good writers.

thanks

I am new to the Duke user community but genuinely impressed with the quality and price.

way to go Harlequin on becoming a moderator. You were new to the forums on fountain pens this time last year and really have researched and developed a rich expertise.

Rob Maguire (Plse call me "M or Mags" like my friends do...)I use a Tablet, Apple Pencil and a fountain pen. Targas, Sailor, MB, Visconti, Aurora, vintage Parkers, all wonderful.

Thanks Mags! You are right about the research and investing time in this pursuit, too. When are ee gonna see you in the VPP chat room again, anyway?

I am going to need two things. A PM with instructions and some time off again to catch up on the FPN boards and the catch up with you all in the virtual chat room.

I have had good experience with Duke pens. In my experience, they are solidly built and provide good value for the price. In my rotation I have a Great Shanghai and the terribly-ugly-but-worth-a-laugh Shakespeare. (I am a former high school English teacher and an almost lifelong Shakespeare buff.)

Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.

The Duke pens I see all have medium or calligraphy nibs. What models are available with fine nibs? Anyone know?

I'm at the opposite end- I would like a Duke pen with a western medium or even broad nib, but cannot find one.
