Cutepens has a nice Pilot Fine (Western XF) point at a v. attractive price. I like its budget-class design, although it might not be to everyone's taste. The nib, however ("super quality"--like on the 78G's), is excellent.

Oddly this Pilot doesn't have a name, although I've seen it described elsewhere as the Eyedropper. It takes cartridges and a converter too, happily.

Usual disclaimer applies.

Regards,

Eric.

Maybe Parker Duofold with needlepoint-nib.

I had one of those. It was the most aggravating of all my pen experiences put together. I must have sent that pen back to Parker half-a-dozen times, at least. Finally, they sent the pen to England (they said) to have the Queen personally file it down or whatever. When it came back... still... argh. When I lost that pen, somewhere in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, I had a slight window of opportunity to go back and look for it at least, but I walked away and never looked back.

I own an XXF Platinum 3776, which I believe is part of the ordinary pens of the brand. I paid, on ebay, a much lower price than what I see for Sailor Saibi Togi and Nakaya XXF. But someone, who had already tried the Sailor, told me that my Platinum was less comfortable to write with.

Pens I use very often: Lamy Accent ("EF": fine), Lamy Accent ("1.1": medium italic), Pilot Custom ("FA": extra-fine flexible).
