Goulet #6 Nibs From Jowo

Just to update this, I fitted the 1.1 to the Cardin and it works superbly well. The feed keeps up properly and it starts up very quickly.

I fitted the medium to a Xinhao x450 initially but found it was a bit erratic with skipping so I fitted it to a Xinhao 159 and it is a marked improvement on the stock nib. The original nib in the 159 is really a bit too wet, but there is little room for adjustment because there is so little material missing from between the tines where it has been cut. The Goulet nib has a more controlled flow, but still wet. It is a little bit smoother than the stock nib, but I find them to be very good anyway. It looks nice too in the two tone.

I also fitted the larger type Schmidt converter to the 159. It is a lot longer than the original one and holds about 50% more ink. Both modifications have made useful improvements to the pen.

I put the 1.5mm stub Goulet nib in my Jinhoa x450 also and it writes great with it. I put the two tone in and you would really think it was a higher quality than a five dollar pen. I do agree about the cap though it is not easy to get off. I'm having trouble with a Montverde Jewleria that is a fine nib and runs very dry I think another Goulet nib is in need on my next order.

I have Goulet 1.1 stubs in all of my X750 -Stainless Steel, Ivory, Shimmering Sands, Checkered

Goulet 1.1 - Jinhao Eiffel Tower

Goulet 1.1 - Jinhao X450

Goulet F - Noodler's Ahab

Goulet 1.1 - Noodler's Konrad Ebonite

I only wish a Goulet would fit in my Jinhao 3000. Takes what looks like a #5 nib. I would love to have a Broad nib for this particular pen.

I put the Goulet 1.1 on a Jinhao x450 and it's one of my favorite writers.

+1 - and you are right, it turned a $5.00 pen into a $20.00 pen that writes like a $100+ pen.

May we live, not by our fears but by our hopes; not by our words but by our deeds; not by our disappointments but by our dreams.

Did get a two-tone Goulet 1.1 to fit in my Jinhao 3000. I am a happy camper. So my Jinhao 950 is hungry for a Goulet nib :P
