I bought it in a REYNOLDS showroom in a shopping mall Avani Riverside(Calcutta).I found Reynolds has released at least 20 models of fountain pens there including popular Reynolds Grippy.

Lovely Leather box included in price 800.I think if that box was not there pen price could have been 200 Rs less.

hi,

I am new to forum and would like to add my experince . Last month I visited Reynolds pen showroom at Fun republic mall at Coimbatore. I wondered by seeing rebranded Jinhaos as Reynolds. A Jinhao x450 costs aroud 200 rs while same costs Rs 800 as Reynolds. Even in Reynolds pen the name Jinhao written on nib.

Any thoughts on this?

I am not sure whats written on nib.

R is written on the cap head and REYNOLDS on cap bottom part. Can you magnify where the JINHAO is written???

I bought this exact same Reynolds pen in Chennai, India for Rs.810 ($12) in April '16., I think it is referred to as the Big Boss (or Bigg Boss) or something like that; I don't know if that's the real model name. Didn't know that this was a twin sister of the Jinhao 159. Indeed it is, as I find out now. It obviously comes out of the same factory where the Jinhaos are forged. Everything is identical, in that even the converter is exactly the same type and is exactly as bad as in the Jinhao 159 (there is a separate thread on this). The nib is free of any brand markings, but there is the R on the clip and Reynolds written along the chrome band on the cap. The pen is ok overall and writes a wet line, but the poor converter is a downer.
