Not bad at all.. it's all practice. I must get my hands on that Lohan book.

I like them.

You know what? I'll make a confession. I redid a couple of my Lohan lessons a second time before I felt they were actually done.

The process took more time and had a repetitive feel to it. However, the end results were worth it.

Keep it going. You're definitely doing well.

Wow. That's actually kinda cool.

I had an art professor once discuss what constitutes "art" and actually painted a white "frame" around some paint drips in the studio, and sign and date it. Of course, it was signed with a BP, so it's probably not there any more....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Ugh. It's been too long. My pen needs to be flushed and re-inked. Both it and it's cohort, the sketchbook, have been mocking me.

I'm with you there, Andrew -- no time lately for fun with pen and ink…. sigh. Anyone else been making progress with the Lohan (or other)?

It's been toooo long! This isn't from Lohan...it's from American Boy's Handy Book, but I was inspired by someone else's sketches and I wanted to compare inks, too.

Nice sketch! I'm not familiar with the pen and ink color that you list on the right -- is that a dark green?

If I get some time I'll take some photos of the small sketches I've been sneaking in here and there -- no recent Lohan work, unfortunately, but lots of playing with pen and ink in small pockets of time…

Thanks! They're both dark greens, but Montblanc Jonathan Swift Seaweed leans a little more yellowish than Zhivago. They look almost identical until you do the chromas.

I have tried to do a small sketch each day...nothing complicated, five, ten minutes max.

The latest, though I've slacked off due to Inco:

Santa Claus was from a Mary Englebreit book. The lady, from a compilation of old, old pen/ink sketches that Dover publishes.

Bump. I really want this thread to continue! Anyone have any updates?

I bought all the books and supplies to start. Now, it's just a matter of finding time, which I have none of.
