Epoxy For Repairing Connectors

I have a couple of Parker 51 Aerometric connectors that have gotten soft at the nipple where pli-glass sac is attached. I've read where you can trim the nipple off and epoxy a trimmed Parker ink cartridge onto the connector and then attach the pli-glass sac to the newly fabricated nipple. Has anyone tried this and if so what epoxy did you use? I want to make sure I use the proper type of epoxy so that I don't completely ruin the connector.

You want to cut off the soft nipple then drill a counter bore into the connector body to accept a small length of tube. The tube should be between 1.5 and 2 times longer than the exposed length.

Devcon or any good two part epoxy should work. You may be better off opting for the 24 hour version over the 5 minute option.

Thanks for the info. I am going to take your advice and go with the 24 hour version.
