How To Remove Company Logo Off Montblanc Pen?

Recommended Posts

This was my dad's company pen that he passed down to me, and I would like to remove the company logo on the top part of the pen. It's fading with time, but I'm not sure what product to use in order to safely remove it without damaging the pen surface.

Any suggestions? I have attached a picture.

Thank you very much in advance.

I'd leave it. Those sorts of logos are part of the story of the pen. If it is fading already it will just wear away. I'm afraid just about anything you could use WILL be a risk for damaging the pen.

Polish the plastic parts of the cap very gently with a lint free cloth and a very small amount of simichrome polish. If the logo is printed on it will be removed very easily.

I am sorry to call your MB pen plastic but basically that's what it is.

I have done this on all kinds of pens (particularly Pelikan pens and Luigi Colani designed ballpoints) without any damage. You need only a tiny amount of the polish.

I took a 161 ballpoint to the service center and asked to have the engraved cap replaced, and they did so for $50. Quite possibly if you sent your pen to the MB center and request just a cap replacement, they will do so. Doesn't hurt to ask.
