Impossible to give a really definitive answer but is could well be Damson.

Unless it is the Cult Pens new Deep Dark Blue, or Twilight, or Eclipse . . . . . but some of their lighter colours are good as well.

As I said to start with - impossible really.

To be honest, I've liked every Diamine ink I've tried. Since my husband would likely cut up my credit card if I ordered all of them, I just ordered my favorite in each color group that I've tried so far. Black is Graphite, brown is Macassar, maroon is Syrah and green is Sherwood Green.

Like many others, I've liked just about all the colours I've tried. My current favourites are

  • Red Dragon
  • Syrah
  • Ancient Copper

My wife is currently happy with

  • Oxblood
  • Eau de Nil

I might just have to put the cat among the pigeons and say: 'Salamander'!

Ok fine.... as soon as I get my hands on it... Salamander will be my favorite. I am sucker for moss, brown, green, sepia inks..

Sherwood Green, absolutely. Not only my favorite Diamine ink, but also my favorite green ink. Rich, forest green color, and very well behaved in a whole host of pens.

I also used to really like Red Dragon, but I find that it doesn't absorb well on certain papers (like Apica), and will come off on a sweaty hand, even days or weeks after drying.

My first two bottles purchased (based on swatch alone) were Diamine. I lucked out: both are divine. Most used of the two is Chocolate Brown - rich, smooth version of a color I've been into for several months now. The other is Green-Black, also wonderful.

I already had a color similar to Bilberry when I tried it, but it flowed so smoothly that it screamed "buy me!" So I did.

There's definitely a growing Diamine theme in my purchases and preferences.

Wait, I'll think of one that I didn't like soon.

Oh, yes, I didn't like Grape. I loved the color, but Diamine Grape was the one ink that stained a demonstrator. (It was a Noodler's Ahab - so the stain was likely just Karma).

On the whole, I've liked Diamine inks I have tried. They have one disappointing feature - on the whole, they are not fade resistant. (Hence why I switched to De Atrementis).

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

In my search for a go-to burgundy, I've discovered another lovely ink: Diamine Syrah.

At first I tried just a sample. Received my full bottle last week.

Grey. I have several but the only ones that see regular use are the Grey, which is a very nice bold neutral grey, if a neutral grey can be said to be bold, the other is Monaco Red, which is legible and bold red that doesn't shout yet makes its presence known on the page.

My most recent favorite is Diamine Marine, a great shading summer color!

As many others have mentioned, Diamine is my first choice in inks. I've never had a problem with the ones I have. It's hard to pick one, so I'll go top three in no particular order.

Ancient Copper

Sargasso Sea

Syrah

I still use Registrar's almost daily, but that didn't seem like a very exciting answer. :D

Hi,

I really love Diamine Claret. I think it's my most used Diamine ink. It has such a nice color and shading in my pens.

I lean toward the Diamine blues: Majestic, Denim, and Kensington. However, that said I use occasionally Diamine Green-Black. The colors are rich and give me no trouble in any of my pens. Wonderful ink and the price is right, too!

I'm a fan of Flordia Blue, has a good solid near mid-level blue for me.
