Favourite Diamine Ink Colour?

PenCityAus

Recommended Posts

I love the look of Sargasso Sea, but I always find it a hard starter. I find myself using a lot of Chocolate Brown in my amber Italix Parson's Essential these days. But my favorite is still what it was when I first discovered Diamine inks: Florida Blue. Only back then it was a limited edition called Tropical Blue that was so popular it entered the regular line-up with a changed name.

Diamine is probably my most used ink. I haven't had a problem with one yet.

Of the ones listed I would say Presidential Blue is my favorite. From the ones not listed it's Misty Blue and Eau de Nil.

Tied for favorite are Syrah, Bilberry, and Midnight, with Ancient Copper getting more use lately.

A good topic for discussion - Diamine is my favourite ink of choice and I have some 10 different colours, including Emerald, Eclipse, Syrah, Poppy Red, Saddle Brown, Majestic Blue and Imperial Purple.

Love the 80ml bottles, such good value for money. I have tried many of the other colours mentioned, and have not been disappointed with any. Currently, I am using Emerald and Majestic Blue a lot.

+ 1 for Majestic Blue. I consider it the gold standard for dark blue inks. I've never had the performance issues that some report.

Well, my favorites, in no particular order, are Majestic Blue, Majestic Purple, and Presidential Blue. Today I emptied the Presidential Blue out and reloaded my (new) CS Belliver Poinsettia with Florida Blue, as we had a snowstorm yesterday, and that color reminds me of the Caribbean.

And I have a bottle of Registrars Blue on order, so am anxious to give that a try too.

Imperial Purple, Oxblood, or Ancient Copper would probably be my favorites. Although I have to say I haven't tried a Diamine ink I didn't like.

Missing from the chart above, I think, is Denim, which I really love - a beautiful blue-black.

My other favorites are China Blue, Oxblood, and Evergreen.

Diamine Damson :puddle: Seems to be missing from the chart, but just so beautiful...

Humph! No mention of Mediterranean above. Surprises me because I've seen it in other favorites lists. It and Prussian Blue are my favorites. Med is a clear spring sky in Texas. Cheers me right up.

Of those on the chart my favourite is Umber, but I also like Mediterranean Blue, and Passion Red is currently my got to ink for editing (which I am doing a lot of at present). I really love Eau de Nil.

That's a tough one between oxblood and majestic blue. If I absolutely HAD to go with one it would be Majestic Blue which is my all time favorite blue.

Can I be the first to say that I heart Jet Black? Thank you.

How did I forget Umber? This is my favorite production green.

Red Dragon or Bilberry.
