The first brand that springs to mind when it comes to bringing out a limited edition fountain pen commemorating / celebrating Neil Gaiman is MB. It would be cool if a more affordable brand gets there first (and keeps the price suitably affordable).

I seem to remember Gaiman saying that he wasn't a fan of MB pens or ink so I wonder if he'd allow a Writer's Edition of him. I'm sure they would make a very nice pen for him though.

He mentioned the PapierPlume (www.papierplume.com) website, have a lovely dip pen from there.

Worth a quick look.

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

Mont Blanc should be the last company to issue a Neil Gaiman pen. All they do is cash into the names of famous people through their WE range. A true pen lover like Gaiman deserves a pen made for pen nerds.

When Mr. Gaiman did a book signing in Dallas for his novel THE OCEAN AT THE END OF THE LANE, he used a Pilot Custom 823 with a reddish Noodlers ink that reminded him of dried blood..

I remember seeing another post that mentioned he was using Noodler's Black Swan in English Roses with his Pilot Custom 823.

I should also note that I recently saw a post from him on tumblr where he mentioned using Montblanc Bordeaux and Burgundy Red, so I was wrong about him not liking the ink, or he's since changed his mind. I can't say I've ever seen him us a Montblanc, but he does have a lot of different pens, and seems to sample a variety of brands.
