That is incredible. Ken, is there no bottom to your "well of styles". How can you keep your chops up on so many different styles without getting "rusty" on some that you don't use that often. It's really amazing and uncanny...the ability to just select a random style and have the ability to execute it flawlessly "at will". There are a lot of really talented proficient calligraphers on this FPN site, but your stuff is so head-and-shoulders above everyone else. What a rare treat to see something like this, and get the inside information on how you did it, what pens you used...etc. Rare treat and a rare privelege.

Not enough arm movement, too much finger movement. Lines too "chattery". Flourish amateurish and clumsy. Letters not properly proportioned. Arrrrrgggghhhhhh.

This quote by Robert Fripp is written in the style of "Madarasz Script" with an Esterbrook 357 nib and Higgins Eternal black ink on Clairefontaine paper. The angle of the writing is 47 degrees from the horizontal and the x height is 6mm.

Absolutely phenomenal. I do have to say, the Madarasz script is one of my all times favorites. The flowing elegance of the spencerian script being enhanced by the deep and wonderful shades of copperplate is just like a dream come true. Unfortunately, I have many hours of practice before me before I ever hope to do that!

Loving the quote as well, it rings especially true for someone who's a bit of a loner like me.

Excellent as always. And in the style of Madarasz. Fantastic.

You were a King Crimson fan, Ken? Just wondering, with the Fripp quote and all?

I'm doing my term exams so my stuff is just summaries of readings, with the odd flourish when things get too boring.
