That's like Beetlejuice right? rolleyes.gif

Anyway, I will have to buy a bottle of Amber ink .... because ... well .... I like the color. Not because of the name or anything. roflmho.gif

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

If it's something akin to Sheaffer King's Gold, I'd be interested in it!

The picture in the bottle looks to me darker than Kings Gold and lighter than Copper Burst. I'm thinking of trying it which is why I Googled for more info.

I found out the hard way that it wasn't actually Kings Gold I liked - it was the lovely bronze color I got when I put Kings Gold in a pen that had been incompletely flushed of some brand of blue-black, oops ;-)I still have quite a bit of the Kings Gold and have been thinking of trying to mix it with something to get the color I thought I was buying.

And I love Copper Burst in the Cross Sauvage Python.

So I still think I will give Amber a try. A little pricey, but a bottle of ink lasts a long time for me because I keep switching between different favorite pens and different inks.

I'm hoping for something like Ambre de Birmanie, my favourite Herbin colour.

I really like edelstein inks, especially when here I can't find a lot of ink manufactures.

It is very nice to have ink of the year selection, and from 2012 ink of the year I am very satisfied.

I am waiting for the new ink of the year, 2013. I am sure It would be a very nice addition and a worth buying. rolleyes.gif

Paperballs, do you and Plistumi hang out? Here she is drinking her Akkerman ink in front of the TSA agent.

Hmmm...my favorite jewelry is usually made from amber, my fragrance is amber paste, and Zelazny - well, all others ARE but shadows! B) This ink is beautiful in the bottle. I'd love to see it on paper.

I'm not really sure I would like to purchase Amber, since my Topaz ended up so much like the Waterman South Seas Blue I already have, and people have been saying here that the Edelstein Amber is a lot like one of the J. Herbins.

I saw a few reviews and I think the color is far nicer than the J. Herbin. In fact its the only Edelstein that I thought possibly worth the ludicrous price.

Did you look at the reviews. It is a great ink.

I agree that it's much nicer than the J Herbin which looks thin and watery to me. It's a lovely ink.

Its like Pears soap on the page - lovely!
