My most used journal is a Quo Vadis Habana with the older 90gr/sm paper. I grabbed a bunch of them when they were changing over as I really liked them the way they were. I have a stockpile of 16 after the one I am currently using...should be good for a while ;) :bunny01:

I have about 12 - I am jealous of your extra four. Nothing comes close to these notebooks.

It's made by italian firm Fiorentina as a custom for Barnes and Noble (here's the photo of what it looks like new and not grungy with various bits of fluff and covers bent from having extra bits 'o' paper stuffed in it). Fiorentina are probably best known for their Ciak line of journals/notebooks.

This particular model in this particular color could also be called an 'Edward Cullen journal', because it was a prop in the first of the Twilight movies where obsessive eagle-eyed stationery nerds connoisseurs may spy it lying on the table in front of the eponymous boy vampire in the infamous 'biology lab' scene (and elsewhere in the movie). This is where I first clapped eyes on this journal, and decided to go looking for it (hence why I'm never quite sure which 'eye candy' people are on about when they talk about this scene...boy or book).

Anyway, i soon dug one up on ebay after a bit of searching.

I also got my second one there, which was a dumb move because when I went looking for my third and did not find one on ebay, I discovered the connection to good ole Ciak and realized B&N sells these for like 40% less than the ebay price for a movie replica.

The paper in the first one was great, but the second is a bit of a let-down - very absorbent. Less so further into the book than in the first few pages, but it still tolerates nothing bigger than a fine nib and even that's not perfect, meaning I can't use it with the one pen I always keep inked no matter what since that is a medium nib (on the wet side for one as well). The book still has a lot of good things about it though, so if you're thinking about it it's worth the gamble unless you only enjoy very wet pens.

I'm not affiliated with ANY of the brands/retailers/shops/ebay sellers/whatever I mention or recommend. If that ever changes, I will let you know :)

Ok now - you can't just post the photo and not tell us more about it.
