I inked this pen today in honor of the passing of FPN member Parker Duofold and post the pictures here as well. It sucks to lose friends in any community, but especially this one.

At least in part because of this thread, I decided to go for a 1.1 stub on the Fine Writing 6th gen brass pen I picked up yesterday. Still deciding what I'm going to ink it with.

Thanks everyone for the inspiration!

I sure would like to see more of this pen! (demonstrator?)

My contribution to Stub O the Day. I did manage to put the brand name Italix instead of italic. The nib is medium italic.

I took a photo of a pair of my Stipula Etruria italic nibs for another purpose. Might as well share them with this forum too ...

And a little bit of celluloid eye candy as a free bonus.

Happy writing!

Bobje your writing is just a pleasure to look at, especially with that nib. Well done!

Stub (and italic, OBB, and medium/fine) of the day.

ardene that's an interesting comparison, showing the huge (in my opinion) differences between what different makers consider wide nibs. Nicely done. :happyberet:

Sheaffer short Triumph OBBB nib.

As a newbie, recommendation for a broad/wide stub nib pen please.

Looking for buttery feel

I like the 1.5 Lammy width but happy to look at wider.

I have the following pens

Lammy studio, SAfari.

Waterman carene

Parker sonnet

Mb Jonathan swift

Italix churchman perscriptor

Happy to consider different brand or just new nib suggestion

Thanks for your help

I’ve had enjoyable writing with Lamy 1.5 in Safari, and Leonardo Momento Zero with steel 1.5 nibs, which have given line variation close to Cursive Italic for me (YMMV). I’ve had one Leonardo modified to a 1.2 which has been excellent as well.

1948 Parker 51, medium stub (I think), included in a box of pens and pencils given to me by a retiring colleague. I offered him the pen back but he replied "Use it in good health!"

I love stub and italic nibs, but do not contribute photos often. So here are three currently inked pens
