So, if I can raise the necessary cash and actually find a Pelikan factory BB, does it look exactly like the BB image Tartuffo posted above, or do I have to pay a nibmeister to stubify it for me?

I'm confused, because I think at one point Pelikan offered nibs they were describing as "stubs" at the same time they offered nibs they described as "BBs."

If I ever have the cash to drop on an M800 I don't want to screw it up by ordering the wrong nib. I want one that looks exactly like Tartuffo's post above.

Ooops - it's not really a stub but a cursive italic by John Mottishaw.

A stub would look very similar, but would write with softer lines.

A little smaller than an 800 bb it's an M400 nib on the M200 Demonstrator.

The new nibs.com site is worth a visit. They seem to have just about

any Pelikan (pen or nib) you could ever want .

Pelikan offered a "IB" (italic broad) nib for the M800 in black and green/black. I still see these for sale. I have bought two. They are rather stubbish and wet writers. I have had both made crisper. Pelikan is no longer making BB nibs.

Toams, beautiful photograph of the MB Dickens imprint. Wow! A combination of literature, calligraphy, history, and goldsmithing.

David, isn't amber a great color?

Don't know what I like most - your Cursive Italic, your pens or your choice of inks. Thanls for sharing!
