I've followed this thread for a while. There are so many gorgeous pens and nibs in this world! Thank you people for showing us!

I'm not sure if an oblique nib is stub, so I haven't posted anything until now. This is my first truly stub nib:

Obliques are close enough that I wouldn't mind if you posted one or two. But that is definitely a STUB!

The ink actually looks better on the photo than in real life. It is a mix of Diamine Sunshine yellow and Iroshizuku tsukushi (most sunshine yellow). It turned out a dirty brown in real life. Fortunately I haven't mixed more than what is in the pen.

Very pretty. I can only imagine how many minutes of your life you lost from sheer panic. Glad that it was fine.

Beautiful nib. I can't write with 360s--as a left-handed underwriter, the nib is at a totally wrong angle for me. If makers are going to force your fingers into a fixed position, they need to make the nib so it can be rotated, as on the Parker 75.

I'm right-handed, but I also find the nib to be a little off where I would like it to be. They are beautiful, impressive, and large pens, though. Mine don't get much use.

I only have one, an orange with silver trim that I got as a member of OMAS's club years ago. I plan to sell it, since I can't write with it.

I was sorting through some old dip pen nibs I ended up with from friends and family and found a couple of flexible stub dip pens. How does one write with a flexible stub? Like a flexible pointed pen, or like a stub? I'll be trying to figure this out this evening with my Hoosier Record No. 5 and my Spencerian Pen Co. No. 28 stubs. Those are my stubs today.

I just looked at mine with a loupe. The nib does fit into a round hole in the section. I haven't taken it apart, though. Have you ever asked a nib specialist if they could rotate yours?

Interesting question. I'll try asking around.

The first place I would try is John Mottishaw at nibs.com. I see him at the California pen shows. Of course, this would require a face-to-face meeting to get it just right. The nib and feed may be keyed, so that it can only go in one way.

I just checked their website and they say they are adjustable.

I haven't learned the knack of pen/nib photos yet — I just took this on my el cheapo mobile phone..

The red is the reflection of my Liverpool FC shirt.

That nib just makes me go, "Ooooooo !".

I think you've persuaded me to invest in a TWSBI 580 ... and a few nib units ... and some ebonite feeds.

Cheers, David.
