Quite sometime back, I corresponded briefly with Nathan T. on this subject, and he explained that when he made something an "Exclusive" for a given seller, he couldn't then just go and market it elsewhere. There are items where a given vendor has stopped selling Noodler's that have shifted over to another vendor like the Goulets (e.g., the inks formerly exclusive to Jetpens), but if it's still an active item with a vendor (e.g., Legal Lapis with Pendemonium), one can't fault Nathan T. for being a man of his word...

Not trying to be an smart a-s-s, I really do not know this answer. Does the Australian market gets the regular american line of Noodler's?

C.

Yes, with double the price.

Exclusive to some countries......hmmmm....

The famous "YOU KNOW WHO FAMILY" asked from me (for my order -a few Noodler's ink bottles) for shipping cost to Greece more than $100 (not insured, not express, not registered.).

Same quantity and way of shipment, DROMGOOLES asked just $17.00.

Some people in Australia or U.S or in any country I guess, try to become rich thinking that people outside their country are stupid! Some others are not.

DROMGOOLES are very fair and honest people even for non-Americans.

I guess this particular ink will cost more than $45 a bottle....

Still missing the "White Stripe" MYU and black brother MYU with transparent section!

(Has somebody a "Murex" with a working clock?

(Thanks to Steve I found the "Black Stripe Capless" and the "White Stripe Capless")

While Goulet's has been very good to me, I can also tell you that Dromgoole's is wonderful. Bertram's Inkwell has also been great. ISellPens.com is the closest to me, so Todd can sometimes get orders to me as quick as the next day.

Overall, we have some terrific options for online shopping.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Do you mind if I ask how? I have been sending emails left and right. And was put in contact with a distributor (in Australia) and when I asked how much would shipping be to Canada ... all emails stopped. :glare:

Sorry to hear this but it is expected. Australia unfortunately has only just caught up with internet shopping (and most of it is goods coming into country). Sorry to be blunt but it's not worth the time of most of the B&M to post something to Canada. Also if they do, expect it to cost ~US$40-45.

Well, I also mentioned that I have a friend traveling to Australia (this summer) so I could provide an australian address for shipping. Again, all email communication stopped..

I am just wondering how WOBentley did it.

Try FPN member Genius he's in Australia. He was kind enough to help me.

Thanks Amber, but I finally got a reply. They are out of stock, but waiting for stock in the next couple of weeks.

I will buy a couple of bottles and ship to my friend's sister in Australia (Adelaide). When my friend goes visit her sister this summer, she can bring me my bottles back.. :clap1:

This review served several purposes:

1) It gave me yet another color to drool over. :puddle: Great review, that's an awesome ink.

2) I think I may have found the purple my wife is looking for. The North African Violet seems right on point. Again, thank you.

3)

Is it summer yet? :lticaptd:

This made my night/day. Mainly because my wife and I had a similar conversation last night. The entire exchange occurred while I looked out the french doors.

me: "Wow, it's really raining now."

her: "Outside?"

me: "Not sure, maybe you should check."

Cyber6, great avatar.

This is my current blue-black and everyday ink in my Lamy Safari M. Quite nice. I was using Bad Blue Heron before but my bottle of that was unfortunately lost. I think I still prefer Bad Blue Heron for everyday writing as it appears a bit more formal but Coral sea is beautiful.

BTW the gentleman at the store I bought this from mentioned that Coral Sea is very close in color to legal lapis. Looks close, perhaps more greener.

Amazing review of a gorgeous colour, thank you. I won't even mention the @~{:*&%^$ about not having much access to Noodler's inks in the UK. However, I have managed to replicate Burma Road Brown with my Diamine inks, so I am very, very happy (whilst I cannot vouch for it withstanding an alien invasion with superior weapons of annihilation, at which point no one would really care a hoot anyway...) I like it!

I was lucky enough to get a bottle of this when it first arrived in Aus. It was then $29, a bit above the standard price of $22 for Noodler's here.

I remember doing a review at the time.

I was always disappointed that an Australian Exclusive ink was named after the Battle of the Coral Sea, a mostly American sea battle (but with some Australian involvement). I have always felt that Kokoda Khaki or Buna Blue-Black would have been more suitable names...
