Thanks to Genius, I was able to acquire Catalpa and Coral Sea Blue. CSB was amazing in my fade tests. Here is a quick review. I'll also post up CSB and Texas Blue Bonnet.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

This is a beautiful dark green ink. I really liked it when I saw it at the Las Vegas Pen Posse #1. I loaded up a Pelikan with my sample and I am really enjoying it! Thanks.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Great review!

That's so gorgeous. It reminds me a little of Blue Nose Bear.

That was my first thought too. Well, BNB or Air-Corp Blue-Black. I wonder if this ink exhibits a bright blue halo like BNB and ACBB. They're different shades of blue, but they do creep out on absorbent paper.

Actually, I was just organizing the potions cabinet and found that Catalpa looks a lot like the Swisher Verdun Green. That's just from the bottle though.

Good to see Catalpa getting some love. Neat review.

It is one of my favourite Noodler's colours. Sometimes I think of it as a lighter version of Zhivago with blue/grey instead of black depending of the pen.

Great review and great ink! Where in Melbourne can get it?

There's a few stores that sell Noodler's but the only store I know that actually stock the exclusives is Pencity @CBD. Price is $26 in-store and $25 online + shipping fee.

@Amber Nice reviews of Catalpa and CSB! Love the Catalpa!

So, after a quick look see, I notice that certain inks looked alike in the bottle.

The two greens are Vedun Green (Swisher Exclusive) and Catalpa (Australian Exclusive). Under UV light - the inks are totally different. Sorry I don't have a picture of that, but I'll try.

  • 3 months later...

As an update, I've had this ink in use since January. My daughter spilled 1/2 the bottle (but she did get to flirt with a very cute young man while they inked mommy's pens). So, here are my thoughts as I used the very last of the most recent fill. (4 images).
