Here are mines. Well, one of them has some patterns, but it is still black and I quite like it.

There's one missing that they call diamond black, but it's rather dark gray.

I do like a black pen - particularly black with silver accents, no flourishes or swirls, just clean lines and simple design.

Today I found an Osmiroid 65 at the market - I went out with the plan of looking in junk shops and at the flea market hoping to find a fountain pen or two, and I did! I know the 65 isn't exactly a rarity, but I'm really pleased with it, a good flush through and it works a treat. Also means I can start to try out different Esterbrook nibs!

Here it is:

My dream pen is a black Parker Vacumatic, but I think I'm going to have to do A LOT of saving for that, or ask for a family whip round for my birthday :)

Inkysloth, that's an impressive find. Looks like a great pen. Use it in good health thumbup.gif

Edjelley, those are great pens but the photography itself is very well done. Usually the 2000 looks much more grey when next to glossy black pens, but your lighting has really done a good job to showcasing how it looks in real life. Thanks for posting puddle.gif

That's easy, as most of my pens are black, and the one that's not is the Homo Sapiens, which is sort of black, anyway:

I'm always amazed when I see a thread like this and then check my collection to see how many I have of the topic of the current thread. It's either none at all or lots! In this case, lots! I found 60 all-black pens, allowing for some amount of trim. There are another 20 or so that have enough trim or other additional decoration that I didn't think they qualified for this thread so they are not included here. The very first one is my favorite of this group.

I managed to keep all of the images in this post to the same relative scale. If one pen looks larger than another, it is larger.

sexauerw, Thanks for sharing your collection (or at least a portion of it). You have got most of us beat for quantity, quality, and cataloging.

akustyk, That is a fine collection and it looks like the Mini holds its own (at least in terms of style) in that lineup. Thanks for posting.

As for myself, here is my currently black pen lineup. I'm spending my Spring break to knock out several written projects.

I recently finished making a large black hard rubber pen to support a very large nib.

The pen is 7" long. Here it's compared to three other rather large pens... a Bexley Giant, Waterman 58 (Chris Thompson replica) and Pelikan M1000.

http://www.brunocorsinipens.com/FTP/Pentrace/4BigPens.jpg

And here's the nib, compared with a #12 size on the Bexley Giant, a Waterman 8 size, and Pelikan M1000. This nib is from an old dip pen and has wonderful, and I mean really wonderful flex. It can stripe roads.

As a member of the Black Pen Society, I am extremely proud of this pen.

At this point, it's an only child. And if a sibling is born... I'd keep it! Fact is, this pen is for a client and I will be very sad to see it go away.

Bruno, How far away do you have to hold the paper so you can write with that enormous nib? wink.gif

Sweet pen!

It actually is not that difficult to write with it. The nib sticks out of the section about 1 3/8". The biggest problem is the upstrokes where you need a very light touch as the nib is quite fine. On the downstrokes, I can get well over 2mm wide line.

I've only had the need for one to this point. I'm planning on a black Omas in the future.

I like the idea of a "Black Pen Society" so here's a banner suitable for the FPN signature space for anyone interested. Thanks for the idea, Bruno.

Fact is, the Black Pen Society is not my idea... it's a real thing and has existed since 2010. Here's a picture of the last two BPS pins...

Anyone interested in becoming a real member should see Paul Erano at any of the number of pen shows he attends. If not attending a show, one can email Paul (check his website... Paul's Pens) and provide him a "rational, cogent and succinct" explanation of why they should be allowed membership. And if Paul feels the request is truly sincere, then a $5 payment is required (for the pin). The current year pins are about gone so figure on starting with the 2013 pin, roughly due in August.

Hey autopsy, that's a snazzy Sailor. Thanks for the photo.

joeccentric, I recognize the Parker Sonnet, but I'm not as familiar with dip pens. Both look very nice.
