About three years ago I posted an image with 60 black pens, it's back on post #166 in this thread. But I overlooked a couple and I've bought a bunch more so here are fifteen more black pens from my collection.

Very nice, Bill

I have the Man 100 chased

I let go opportunity to buy the harlequin and I am regretting it a bit

How do you like the Stipula Vedo?

I like Stipulas very much and have a few

The Vedo looks rather short however

And I do not like posting

Enrico,

I have relatively small hands so I don't have a problem with the Vedo being a bit on the short side. I wouldn't want it to be any shorter though! The pen has a smooth 1.1mm stub nib which I like very much, and I really like the huge ink window. I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite pens because I have a number of really great pens, but it's certainly a very good pen and it does get used.

But I actually use my Stipula Castoni more often. I got this one cheap from Tuesday Morning about five years ago. The titanium nib has a bit of flex but isn't by any means a flexible nib. There's just a hint of line variation. Still, it's nicer than a nail.

But my best Stipula is my black Etruria. It also has a titanium nib but I really would call this one flexible. Not wet noodle flexible, but a respectable 3:1 line variation without much effort at all. I wonder what it would do if it were ground to a needlepoint instead of just a normal fine. This nib is marked "Titanio" and is far more flexible than the Castoni titanium nib which is marked "22 Titanio"

Thank you Bill

I would probably need to hold one in my hand to see if the Vedo is not too small

I don't have very big hands either though

I have two Stipula Novecento, a red resin one (foco) and a red striped ebonite one

the red resin one has a 1.1. stub 14k nib, single tone, rhodium plated, really nice and sharp

the red striped ebonite one has a 1.1 stub 18k nib, two tone, this stub is even nicer, wetter and smoother

I also have two Stipula Etruria, one is the alter ego silver trim celluloid version with a 18k B nib, the other is the Chatterley faceted version in Champagne celluloid 14k M nib.

lovely pens

as I would not wish to go too much OT

here is a Visconti opera 381 black 14 k nib

the Opera Black next to the Homo Sapiens Bronze

I have a special preference for the Opera, I love the shape and find it extremely comfortable in my hand

I also have some other non-black versions...
