This is just a "Heads Up". Starting this Friday the 18th I will start accepting applicants for the next pif. Just wanted to give you guys a teaser. This will be a Montblanc 149 circa 1990. Currently this pen resides in Germany with a friend of mine who will be helping me with this giveaway. There will be no restrictions on shipping location. Since I do PIFs to students, and will continue to do so, this will be for those of us out of school ;)

To be eligible: You must be over 25, and not currently in highschool or college. I do have a list of students from prior PIFs so those names will be excluded. I ask that if you have the means to purchase this pen...please don't throw your name in the hat. The official post will be made this Friday the 18th of Jan. You can not enter until the official post is made Friday. "No Early Birds" LOL The winner will be selected Friday the 25th.

Regards, Russ

Your generosity is overwhelming. It is a "grail" pen! I will post my own PIF soon. I am inspired.

You find the greatest people in the FPN community!

So around noon, names were written on pieces of paper, the pieces of paper went into the hat and out of the hat came the winners.

If you are among them, you'll be PM'ed today.

Thank you all for showing your interest, you taught me that PIF'ing is great fun and I solemnly swear that I will never ever put anything in the bin that might be PIF'ed first. I found it hard to disappoint so many others, so I threw in an extra P25 (stainless steel, black trim) and a few "mystery items" not listed in the initial post...

Thanks very much Shaughn, the gift is much appreciated!

I'm new to the site, too, and am amazed at the generosity (and at the sheer number of posts in the forums - much to wade through!).

Thanks to the generosity of a FPN member who wishes to remain anonymous, I am very pleased to offer two packages of sample inks to two FPN members!

Some quick information:

- To be fair for those in other time zones and work/school schedules, the two winners will be drawn randomly from a pool of entries.

- Our benefactor wishes that these sample packs go to members that are relatively new to the world of fountain pens. If you feel like you fit this description, feel free to add your name to the pool.

- This is open to international FPN members, however shipping will be very basic (a.k.a. no registered mail or tracking or anything), so please keep that in mind.

- If there happens to be two USA entries drawn, a third entry will be drawn as well and three packages will be shipped out.

- Ink samples will be randomly selected.

So you want to enter? Send me a PM (preferred) or an email at susielee AT hotmail DOT com with your FPN username and your location, stating that you would like to enter the drawing. I will wait until 3pm Mountain Standard Time on Monday 21 Jan to close the pool, then select the winners. Please be warned that my email inbox is very sensitive and filters out a lot of emails into the spam folder, so if you choose to email me, there is a chance that I might not get your entry. If at all possible, please send me a PM here on the forum.

Winners will be announced Monday night, 21 January. Good luck!

The two winners of this drawing are sgtd and Malice! Congratulations! I will be contacting both of you shortly!

Help out a poor college student! ^-^' INK SAMPLE CLEARANCE! - Parker Penman Sapphire samples, Palomino Blackwing, Palomino Blackwing 602, and empty vials available.

Thinking of which... there is that story of the chess board and the grain of rice ;)

If everyone who gets a PIF item next PIFs two items, so that one PIF begets two subsequent PIFs that beget four that beget eight that ... etcetera - we'll run soon out of people who have never been PIF'ed to PIF to.

Wow what an amazing community. When I started collecting FP's, I only went on /r/fountainpens, then was introduced to FPN recently, and wow. You guys are all awesome. I'll probably give something away soon, as I'm one of those people who love to give thumbup.gif

Unfortunately, I'm suffering through some tough dental problems which are taking giant chunks of cash from the family savings, so my generosity will probably be tucked in reserve until I'm back on my feet.

Edit: Added a sentance.

Truly someone's trash could literally be someone's treasure...true for many of us who would even find a simple Parker vector or a no name brand student fp to be something one could really appreciate if received.

All items are in the mail now!

I'd be obliged if you let me know when it's delivered. Enjoy your pens!

For those who receive a P25 - there is a lot of knowledge on the P25 available in this topic (as well as in other related topics) https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?/topic/140116-parker-25-variations/ .

Alright, I'd like to pass on this small set of things to a student, I know it's not much, but being a student myself it is all I can spare. Apologies for the bad photo!

The fun stuff:

There is a red (not pink, like it looks in the photo!) Lamy Safari, medium nib, that comes with a blue cart and a plastic pouch, eight extra Lamy Blue carts (I found more after I took the pic), a Clairefontaine 1951 A6 notebook with a black cover, and a Dixon Ticonderoga HB pencil. All of it is new, but the Lamy packaging is a bit beat up.

The not so fun stuff:

I'm only able to post this within the UK, and please only enter if you have never had a Safari or if you have not got a fountain pen, and you are in education (anything from primary school to university). You can enter on behalf of someone else who meets these criteria, as long as you personally don't have the means to purchase these for that someone else.

To put your name in for these, please click on my profile and click "send me an email" - its easier for me to keep track of what's what that way. Don't forget to mention your FPN username, and I'd also like it if you could tell me what pen you use for your everyday writing at school or wherever.

And good luck!

ETA: I'll be leaving this open until midnight GMT on the 4th of February, and picking the winner on the 5th.

I have a bottle of Bad Blue Heron and a bottle of Bad Green Gator that were barely used (less than one ml missing from each).

PM me if interested, I might give them both together or separately.

Also, please be patient as there has been some flooding in my apartment, so exigencies may arise that preclude me from shipping these items as soon as I'd like.

Edit: Pen has been given away to Harlequin! I'll probably give another one away in a few weeks.

Bah I can't resist it anymore, I must give something away! tongue.gif

So I got this from Amazon for about $20, then purchased 4 more because they're very affordable and smooth.

It writes very nicely, smooth gold plated nib. Quite a heavy pen, so it's perfect for the big handed people.

It's not much, but it's a very nice looking pen. Let me know if you want it, and if you want the converter with it, or you'll use carts with it.

I think it uses international carts and pilot carts. Here's a little video of the pen. I'll ship it out today if it's wanted in the next two hours. I'd prefer to ship in the US, as I don't have much money right now and int. shipping is quite expensive.
