Waterman Kultur (like the Phileas).

This is a well known workhorse pen, generally much liked.

I don't really get on with it.

I would like to encourage the newbies here to put their names in. I have two of the Phileas and they are terrific pens. Basically the Phileas has a two tone nib and a Kultur if memory serves me correctly has a steel nib (non plated) and the colors are different.

I am a Noob and ‘tis the season for giving. This weird PIF gives me a chance to participate in PIF until I have a nice pen to give away. I will donate $100.00 USD to the winner’s charity of choice. To enter, please write me a brief (ish) PM describing your favorite charity and how they help people. So that FPN members from any country can participate, please limit your choice of charity to organizations that are somewhat well known, having a news footprint that can be easily discovered. This will allow me to verify their legitimacy. The winning PM will be mailed a certified check made out to the charity. The winner will forward the check on to the organization. A winner will be selected on Sunday, December 15.

 

Here is a chance for me to support the good work you support. My inclination is towards smaller organizations providing direct support/care/assistance/etc. to people rather than a giant mega-charity such as the United Way. Our interest in fountain pens is a niche interest so it makes sense to support a niche charity.

I'd like to make a PIF offer in recognition of all the very generous help & advice I've been given by FPNers, since I joined here about 9 months ago. And indeed all the fun, humour and wit.

 

I don't have any wonderful expensive pens to give away, like some of the amazing offers that have been made before, but I do have lots of stashed stationery "stuff". So I thought it would be fun to put together a bundle to offer here.

 

I don't have any strict rules, but I'd really like my PIF to go to any students or those on a limited budget, and who are just starting out with fountain pens, as I think the package will be most relevant & useful to them. I have included a fountain pen, of course, and also some fun stuff.

Okay, I've got way more "not quite perfect" A5 stationery than I know what to do with, so, I've decided to do some small grab bags. These sheets are ones with things not positioned quite up to my OCD frame of perfection, but they are very pretty and perfectly functional.

 

Let's start with 5 sheets each, various designs.

 

Terms: I'll do a random draw on December 13th and pick 6 people to receive the stationery. I’ve received several wonderful PMs from members who support charities doing great work for people, helping them to survive, to live, and to succeed. These works give hope where little or none existed. Each of the projects is infinitely worthy of support. Choosing just one from among them will be difficult. Thank you for your support!
