Beautiful offerings whitedot, I hope they find a good home.

I have a Green Esterbrook J that I was PIF'd a few months back that I may be re-PIFing in the next few days. After a new nibs and some tweaking I find it not getting much use, and I think it would be appropriate to find it a new home here. Stay tuned!

Courtesy of WirsPlm, I ended up with 2 samples of Organic Studios' Manganese and Jules Verne. I'm putting one of each up on the block to the first person who asks. Don't care where it goes or two whom, so long as it goes to somebody who will enjoy it and pay forward a little something or other down the road... If interested, PM me with Organic Studios in the subject, and I'll send it along...

Be forewarned... I will eye-bang the bejeezus out of your pens...

I have two one pocket FPs to give away. First come, first served.

This orange Wingsung has a bulb-filler, breather tube, breather hole, oversized and springy nib, and ebonite feed, all perfectly formed. You are eligible to enter so long as you will tinker with it until it writers perfectly, then use it frequently or give it away to someone who will. Please PM with Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in the subject line to enter. Recipient pays shipping - a couple of bucks.

This one went to Letsdisinfect.

This NOS Golden Star is made of aluminium, and posts deeply and super-securely to become a much longer pen. You are eligible to enter unless you will waste it; you have received a PIF in the past year and have not PIFed since; or you have entered 70% or more of the PIFs since joining FPN, regardless of whether you won them. Please PM with The Great Gatsby in the subject line to enter. Recipient pays shipping - a couple of bucks.

Green Esterbrook J with a NOS 1551 nib, also included are a 1556 nib and an additional 1551 nib. One of the 1551's is quite scratchy, and the 1556 nib is misaligned with the feed (see pics). The NOS 1551 is described as a firm medium and is right as rain, although I would describe it as a fine by modern standards. The sac of the pen has also been replaced. The body is in good shape, although there are a few light bite marks on the end.

Overall a fine writer with the NOS installed and I would like to find it a new home. Available to all with 3+ months membership that post regularly, domestic shipping only. I will take PM's until Sunday evening and then draw using a random number generator.

Bugger.

That looks like a fine way to get to try out an Esterbrook, pity I'm in Australia, I have an Osmiroid italic nib that would go nicely with that.

I saw an Esterbrook, or the ruins of one, once at a flea market. Even though it was broken and scratched, the lustre of the material was still quite beautiful, it looked woven like carbon fibre.

School Days - Dumpster Rescued Moleskin Notebook and Pilot Varsity Give-away for Students:

For the first three STUDENTS in the USA who message me. Must not have received a PIF from me before.

Tell me where you go to school, your mailing address, and what you will use the notebook for....class notes? the fountain pen poetry? perpetual motion machine calculations?

I have three two rescued Moleskine notebooks ( 5" x 7" ) with plain brown paper covers that have been beautified with paper collages just for FPN members, and have cream colored grid paper pages. Since they are rescued notebooks, some pages have been removed to protect the identity of the wasteful person who threw them into the trash......

Each one comes with a Pilot Varsity "disposable" fountain pen with black ink. Pilot Varsity pens can be refilled with ink following the technique described on FPN. Be sure to use up all the black ink first, or you will make a big mess when you try to open up the pen to refill it!

Look up the Estie Loaner Scheme thread.....

Seems like a cool program. I'll give it a shot when I'm not on the road so much. I'm not at home for long enough stretches to make sure I can return it in a 2 week period. Beautiful pens though!

To the gentlemen above, international costs are just too much for me to bear for a pen of this value. Hopefully you can find something closer to home to get your fix.

A few entries trickling in, hoping for many more before the Sunday drawing!

Look at the Esties Loaner thread - I think there is an Aussie loaner?

Thanks alc, that sounds like a good scheme, but I'm a chronic tinkerer and I know that I'd almost certainly want to modify it in some way.

I'll have to keep an eye out to buy one cheap somewhere.

Do you like orange ink? Do you know an infant girl who would look cute in a hand-knit orange hat?

This is a slighly unusual PIF, but since autumn is here and orange is a good color for the season, I'm offering it up.

I have a hand-knit baby hat for a girl that I would like to give to someone who has a baby that can wear it or who would like to regift it. (I made this for a friend, but ended up giving a different gift, instead.) The hat is primarily orange, with bits of white and pink, and knit in my favorite lace pattern for hats. The hat fits children approx. 3-9 months old and is made with a cotton blend yarn.

The fountain pen connection? I am including a sample of Diamine pumpkin ink so that you can use it to write a gift card to go with the hat when you present it to the baby's parents.

This PIF is open to anyone in the US who has not won a PIF from me before. I hope that the winner will be able to pass this hat to someone who can use it immediately. Know someone having a baby in October? This would be a fun gift.

I am having trouble uploading the picture right now, so I have decided to give up on that. The hat itself will be a surprise.

To be considered:

-PM me. Please do not reply in this thread.

-Let me know how you are related to the baby who you will give this to. Mother? Friend? Uncle?

-Include your name and mailing address.

-If you're a knitter and can include a link to your favorite hat pattern, that would be a bonus. Not required, just fun.

Congrats to sitnstew. He won another PIF. Since these two were drawn around the same time, I'll let him have this one. He just has to PIF x2 now :)
