Paper PIF :)

A5 Rhino Plain Paper Pad.

Quite FP friendly, some feathering and bleeds through a little with wetter nibs.

Available to EU members for full pad but I'm happy to send a sample Worldwide.

www.rhinostationery.co.uk

School paper, exercise books etc

Not made from Rhino products in any way (there is a "Rhino poo paper"!!) but does sponsor Rhino conservation.

Also included a few sheets of Tomoe River and Clairfontaine to try out.

Hi all,

I know I'm a new member here and a very recent casualty to the fountain pen addiction, but I noticed this thread have been having a read through. To be honest I truly have been blown away by the generosity and kindness I've seen from you all in not only running with the PIF idea but in how fair you all try and be in not abusing it or the good will of others - hats off to you all!

In saying that, I'm a huge believer in karma (god knows we all need it from time to time!) and as a special thank you to those of you who have paid it forward I would like to offer up the following:

1x Brand new Rhodia A4 lined pro book (90gsm, 80 sheets, 5 removable plastic sleeves, extremely fountain pen friendly)

- and -

1x Brand new Quo Vadis Note 27 Prestige 2013 Weekly Planner with leather(?) cover so you can just replace the insert next year (I know we're almost 3/4 the way through the year but hopefully someone can still use it) (Also 90gsm, 8am-9pm, week to a double page, also very FP-friendly).

As I said, this is open to anyone who has paid it forward in this year's thread, regardless of age, financial situation, or geographical location. I'll pay postage to you, wherever you are, from Australia.

Please PM me with your interest and i'll be picking a recipient Sunday, September 1st.

I'm only sorry I can't offer more with this (unfortunately I'm not quite Bill Gates just yet) however it really is just a small token of thanks to what is obviously a very generous group of people. Also, in case anyone is wondering - I'm not in any way associated with either of these brands or products except for the fact that I use, and enjoy using, them.

Best of luck everyone & thanks for having me as part of the PFN community.

Have a good one,

Mike.

Hi and :W2FPN:

That's an extremely generous offer, so I think you fit right in. I hope you will feel at home here for a good long time, and enjoy using your pens and sharing with all of us.

If I hadn't just shamelessly indulged my paper hoarding genie I would have sent off that PM already, but as it is I've got four TR blank books coming, and really, enough is enough... But I could have been sorely tempted... This place is dangerous!

Wow, that's very generous

I'd ask for it, but my karma credit is in the red. Can't do that.

I have a PIF to offer. 1 Picasso 907 Montmarte Fountain pen, Medium nib, black with Orange Bands.

http://i.ebayimg.com/t/FOUNTAIN-PEN-PICASSO-907-MEDIUM-NIB-BLACK-ORANGE-SILVERY-P017-/00/s/NjUwWDY1MA==/z/59kAAMXQhpdRr~Ym/$(KGrHqF,!qsFGhQbe(vrBRr+YlT2IQ~~60_3.JPG

It's an admittedly cheap pen I bought it off ebay on a lark, and while I like it well enough, I NEVER pick it up.

How to enter:

For 1 entry into the PIF: recommend, in this thread, a humorous novel (title and author). Not non-fiction, not a kids book. If your idea has already been suggested, you'll have to find a new one.

For a second entry: tell me a little about the book and/or why you liked it.

You can suggest more than 1, but no one will get more than 3 entries into the drawing.

No one can suggest any books by Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett. That's too easy.

I will close the drawing at a random time next week.

Here is a small PIF.

You can enter for any/some/all of these.

1. One Diamine 30mL Peach Haze Ink in Diamine plastic bottle (can send it in 30 mL glass bottle if you don't like Diamine plastic bottle)

2. One Camlin Scarlet Red 60mL Bottle (writing sample, review at Rants of the Archer)

Both Inks are never used & full. DO NOT enter if you are seeking the INKS as SAMPLE.

3. A sample of Fabriano EcoQua Paper. A5; 85gsm; dotted; Made in Italy; Fountain Pen friendly, my favourite paper (alongside Tomoe River) at the moment.

4.You can ask for any one Camlin fountain pen except the SD.

Anybody anywhere in the world is/are legible. I will cover registered air mail cost for almost every where in the world. You can enter any or all of these by sending me a PM.

Samples to kb8dbr and Timeline.

Pad to View from the Loft.

Please PM me your addresses.

Many thanks for this Rhino A5 pad, which arrived on Saturday. My daughter is delighted with it, and has been good enough to let me try it out with my wet, broad italic nibs. It's really good value.

Must raid stash to find a PIF ...

Edited for spelling.

A lot of great offers during the last few pages

The Camlin offer is tempting, but having been the recipient of a few PIF's already I will remain an interested observer.

Here is something for you... 1 The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie 2 I love this book because it is simultaneously a wonderful Jason Bourne/spy type novel and a spot on parody of the genre. I've loaned this book out to everyone I know who seems remotely interested.

This pen looks fun :) Thanks for being awesome and giving it away!

Edited because I hit submit before I was done typing. Time for sleep I think ;)

House, that Hugh Laurie?

Yep :) As awesome as his "serious" acting is there, I actually prefer his comedy stuff. If you haven't read The Gun Seller I HIGHLY recommend it.

For clarification you can enter even if you have received any PIF's recently.

The only ones whom I would ask not to enter are ones seeking Inks for sampling.

Entries will be opened through out this month.

I have another of Fountainpenrevolution's extras to give away. If you want an ED-filled pen with a clear, transparent barrel, this one is for you. I only ask that you use it to write me a snail mail thank you note, using the address on the package, once you've received it.

I will choose between contenders on a completely random basis. Deadline for submission is this time saturday, august 31st. Please don't PM but send me an email at mhguda at yahoo dot com. My inbox is full & I have yet to prune...
