Russ, you're definitely one of the most generous people I've met on any forum. That's a beautiful pen you're giving away!

What an interesting idea. I'd seen this thread before, but ignored it not realizing its true intent. I'm pretty new in the peniverse, but have embraced it wholeheartedly. It's kickstarted my up-till-now listless geezer life and given me new purpose, the pens being merely one part of it. I'm now dabbling in drawing, calligraphy, bookbinding and hopefully come Spring, watercolor painting. Big fun!

Now that I've been lured in by the MB giveaway and understand what this thread is all about, I'd like to contribute. Even in my short peniverse reawakening, I've acquired a few humble items I'm less than thrilled with. Perhaps someone else would be more interested. Lemme work up a couple photos and I'll get back. Thank you.

While part of me is disappointed that I'm not eligible for the MB PIF, the most of me knows that I would get way more mileage out of one of his student giveaways. Higher end fountain pens strike me as better suited to those who have settled down- I don't think I would want to leave a MB on one side of the country while I was on the other, but I also wouldn't want to travel with it. Good luck to all those who enter.

Note to Students who are not eligble: As a former (way way way former) poor college student, I realize there is more value in the student pifs as opposed to something like this. My heart is with all of you students out there surviving on Ramen noodles and pulling all night study sessions. My PIF focus is 90% focused on you

Cheers! Russ

Agreed, Though I DO feel a tad sad about the MB, the Student PIF Is much Better suited to the needs of a student

Here is my first PIF effort. It's a bottle of MB Alfred Hitchcock ink. I'm giving it away rather than dump the ink. It's had one pen filling taken from it, so it basically an almost full bottle. I don't like the color, it appearing waaay too brownish for my taste. I don't know if it's the ink or my geezer eye-balls, but I don't wanna hafta have the sun over my shoulder jes to see even the remotest tinge of red. The photo is taken in morning sunlight to get the true color the best I can. The pen was a Hero 1.5mm nib and the paper HP1124.

I'll give it to any person who wants it, regardless of age, within the continental USA. I will package and ship for free. The winner will be the first respondent I can ship to for under $X, which means someone in KS has a better chance than someone in FL. Sorry, but I'm on a fixed income, so dems da' rules. PM me with your zip and I'll box it and confer with my postmaster and get back to this thread within a few days with the results.

This is my first shot at this sorta thing. If I'm executing this poorly, please advise, as I want to be fair and don't really want to compromise anyone's privacy. I'm sure I'll get better at it. ;)

Well, Georgia is a lot closer than Florida and I would love to have this color, please throw my name in the hat.

Foo! So many pens and inks, so little money....

Ah, poor me, because I live outside of the Continental US but I've been looking for this ink, because I love Alfred Hitchcock, no matter what color he comes in. (But you know, if it looks brown to you, maybe it's just as well, because he used chocolate syrup for blood in Psycho.)

Well, I sent a PM but I suppose I'll post here too. I would love this ink to give to a friend of mine as a gift as he is an aspiring film maker, a big Hitchcock fan, and a fountain pen fanatic as well. While I am based in Boston he is in Salt Lake City, UT.

I plug things in, I push buttons, and I pick things up and put them down in different places. And when I have a chance I write things down!

My MB:AH ink give-away has now ended. A winner has been chosen and notified by PM reply. The winner chosen is aj3537. If the winner does not respond to my PM notification within 24 hrs, the next person who qualified will be notified. Thank you to all who jumped on board. I'll try and find another goodie to part with in the near future. Thank you.

Sorry I missed on the Hitchcock ink. That really is a pretty cool color. (Utah)
