This PIF is for a Pilot 78g with a fine nib and converter. The object of this giveaway is to encourage new users to read and contribute to the reviews area of FPN.

To be eligible, you must possess only one pen, and have posted a review about it in the reviews forum.

Reply to this post (by clicking the "Reply" button to the lower right) and add the link to your review. I will announce a randomly chosen winner on John Muir's birthday (next Sunday).

Please make sure your review includes comment on each of these categories: Appearance and Design, Nib and Performance, Filling System, and Value.

Please note that to keep my shipping cost down this PIF is only open to residents of the United States. Thank you for your understanding.

Up for PIF - TEACHERS ONLY!

I've seen some teachers in this House who intend to use pens to encourage their (usually low income) college kids very now and then. Sometimes a give away, sometimes lend-a-pen. Considering not every student is FP minded, some prefer rollerball, some biro: here I go.

Available for PIF: two sets of 1 FP, 2 biro's, 1 rollerball, Parker 25, stainless steel. Plus a once matte white roller ball if you want, but that is voluntary. All in working order but without refills (roller ball refills are still available, these are not the fibre tip versions). The matte white finish is damaged. None of these pens is in a pristine or mint condition, all have been used, but they work fine.

Conditions:

- Teachers only (I won't mind if someone claims for a teacher)

- Show me the class - photo, drawing, anything goes, but please no midnight serenades ;)

- Tell me what makes this class special - or even better, let them tell me.

Drawing the winners two weeks from now, so plenty of time to make pictures of the Class of '13.

Shipping worldwide, but P&P el cheapo as usual.

And another PIF for all:

This Parker calligraphy set came up from a drawer: a medium and a broad italic nib, one nib is missing ( a 'pellet' it seems, whatever that may be). Instead there is a rollerball section. The pen (vector?) is used as a rollerball, the nibs seem to be never inked. Two cartridges, two converters. Instruction leaflet is complete, box is lightly damaged.

No conditions, just give me a good reason to pif it to you.

I'll pick a winner about next sunday.

Shipping worldwide, P&P el cheapo, have fun!

And for the ink geeks :D what shall I do with a full box of

PARKER PENMAN MOCHA cartridges? 12 boxes x 5 ctgs, 60 single, or all in one?

One very happy, twelve people happy, sixty people a little happy?

They are dried in to about 50% volume so if you want to use them you'l have to add water or so. Suggestions welcome, please help me decide how to pif this one.

Thanks for the idea - it made me realize what I can get my class of '13 - 13 of them! as a parting gift in a few weeks. I am a teacher, and so qualify, but I'm not putting my name in - the set is too small for my class, and I could not think of a way to choose who gets something. So I've decided I will do my own gift and get sets that do contain enough for all. Rollers, probably, but that can't be helped. Not BPs.

Those are beautiful pens! I'm but a highschooler, but I definitely know most teachers deserve something like this!

I haven't gotten many entrants so I thought I would bump this to the new page.

New PIF

My last PIF is well on its way to a new home, so I thought It'd be time to start another little one. This time I'll be giving away one Pilot 78G Broad stub in red.

http://static1.jetpens.com/images/a/000/028/28606.jpg

Its a great little pen with a lovely smooth nib that is probably closer to a cursive italic than a stub. Its very lightweight, and great for long writing sessions.

Along with the pen I'll send one of Pilot's squeeze converters and/or a cartridge if you're the type who prefers to refill those, and you can also choose three ink samples from my collection.

Since this package will be quite light I believe I can (for the first time) open this PIF up worldwide.

Rules

- If you've won a pen PIF from me in the past, please let others have a chance to win.

- If you could easily afford or source this pen it would be nice to let some who cannot have a chance to win it.

To enter - PM me with your location, approximate is fine. I'm not looking for any particular location, there's no right or wrong response, I just want to see how far FPN reaches! I'll keep this open until next Monday the 22nd, and will use Random.org to choose the winner.

Alrighty!

I have been quite busy with work and school (not that I'm not still :P) but I've been thinking about what I'd like to PIF. I'm still a college student and thus have a rather limited budget but after all my first fountain pen was a gift and I love the idea of spreading the wonders of fountain pens so I'd like to pass something on. So, here it is:

Two sample from my ink collection, along with a Hero 616 XF pen. The options for ink are:

Noodler's Black

Noodelr's Blue

Noodler's Apache Sunset

Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher

Noodelr's Inspired Blue (Formerly South Sea Blue)

Noodler's Bernanke Blue

Noodler's Bernanke Black

Private Reserve Blue Suede

Lamy Blue

(Noodler's Bernanke inks have been filled, a few words written, then returned to vial. Just don't fit my style, but definitely fit the description of drying super fast. The rest will be taken from my bottles.)

I would like these to go to someone relatively new to fountain pens and bottled inks. I am not going to specify the requirements for this, so use your own judgment on this.

PM your entry, including your current favorite pen, as well as your dream pen. Also include the two inks you would like if you win.

I will draw this next Friday, April 12th.

-Jeremy

Many apologies for being so late with this! Work and school got a little crazy this last week.

But we do have a winner!

Congrats to...... loveyounadal!

PM Sent. Once I have your info I'll send the ink and pen on it's way!

I plug things in, I push buttons, and I pick things up and put them down in different places. And when I have a chance I write things down!

Two weeks would be pretty fast. My experience from the Caribbean to the US (practically neighbors!) is in the neighborhood of three weeks...

I'm starting to think that the time a letter or package takes to reach its destination has more to do with the familiarity the postal officials have with said destination than with actual distance...

My recent experience of mail between the US and UK has been very positive - in most cases no longer than a week in either direction.
