Congrats! Man, I have no luck in these PIFs...

You and me both!

Received this Pilot Plumix yesterday. My first PIF! Thanks mhguda!

There has been no problem with the ink flow. Works well. Nib is a little scratchy but I am guessing its a teething problem should be fine with some more usage.

Overall liking this pen!! Thanks again.

Since not able to upload the image here, just giving link to the pic -

Cheers!

And the pen goes to ... vp31, I have some confidence in your approach. PM me with your contact details and I will send you the pen. I am very curious to know how your idea develops and if you will have a well working pen.

To those I had to pass over: next time better luck, and thanks for joining. I wish I had a pen for everyone - but one will certainly come your way one day, and that will be the pen meant for you... Meanwhile, keep sharing, that is what makes this network such a good place to be.

Through the intercession of the random number generator at random.org, the powers of chance and circumstance have smiled upon Kuryaka, and selected that member to receive this pen. There were a total of 23 applicants. Sorry I do not have something for all of you, but I am sure that if you persist, surely chance and fortune will smile up you sometime.

Kuryaka please PM me with an address to send this pen to for you.

Congratulations to John, a jolly good fellow!

This is not half bad - as close as I have ever gotten.

Here's my first PIF: A Nemosine Singularity F in Grey.

I have my 20 entrants. So it's time for a bit of randomness. There we 5 extra spaces handed out for particularly funny quotes.

All the entries were randomly assigned a number and then sorted by that order.

And according to Random.org, the winner is:

There's a drum roll here but you can't hear it.

................................................................

No, there really is. My pipe band drum is right here next to me.

johnmetta

Send me your address and it will be on it's way (though probably not until Monday).

Should johnmetta:

  1. be unable to fulfill his duties
  2. be caught in a compromising journal with an underage pen
  3. or fail to claim his prize by the end of the weekend (hopefully the most likely of the 3)

then the prize will go to the 2nd place entry: whitedot

My usual rules apply - no previous winners of one of my PIFs unless you're applying for someone else, ideally a Newbie to fountain pens or at least not to have more than 3 or 4!! I'll give preference to those who haven't won any PIFs previously.

Good luck!!

Congrats! I have a Plumix as well and like it a lot. Mine is purple. I bought it for $2. ^_^

I received this pen from nxn96 via PIF. Thank you!!!!!

I am soooo excited, as I hardly ever won anything. The last time I won anything was about 5 years ago at a fast food place- I played one of those scratch card that came with a sandwich, and won a free chocolate chip cookie. THAT was exciting enough to make a lasting impression. So- getting this via PIF was beyond my wildest dreams!!! :cloud9:

The pen seemed unused. Wow, for almost 17 years! It is about to change for now... the pen surely will fulfill its destiny as a great writing instrument!!! :happyberet:

This is rather a dry-writer, and would benefit from using a wet ink that is more saturated. Once I finish this cartridge, I'll refill it with such ink. Now the question is finding which ones fit that criteria... Any suggestions? I know there are several threads about the topic, some old, others new...

Here's the close-up of the personalization.

The pen is somewhat similar to Metropolitan... slightly thinner and heavier.

You're quite welcome. Glad you're having fun with this pen; that's what PIF is supposed to encourage. In terms of inks, it appears as if you used the blue cartridge. That's the one that came with the pen, the black cartridge was a more recent (Foray?) cartridge I added to the package; therefore, that makes this about as old as Dana & Lorraine's wedding cake. Try the other cartridge and see how it works in your pen.

Once again, glad all worked out.

I sent you a pm about the Parker IM Profile, I didn't see the other information required *grins* I am a 32 year old female from Vancouver, Washington (find Seatle Washington on a map, draw your finger southward until you see the Columbia River, you should be in the area of Vancouver, if you hit Portland Oregon you've gone too far!)

You have such nice taste in pens (at least beauty wise, I have no idea how any of them write *grins*) and are so generous with them.

Have a lovely day

K-
