Pay It Forward 2013

As Spring Break draws near for me, I've decided to do a package for a fellow student.

First up are some various ballpoints/felt-tips: Staples, Sharpie, Papermate, and Uniball. I realized that I had quite a few packs of pens that had only lost one or two to use. They have various ink colors as well.

There are two Papermate 0.7mm mechanical pencils as well. (These remain from a box of mechanical pencils that I didn't finish using)

Four fountain pens:

Huahong 918 - XF (Metal cap, black body with some glitter)

Huahong 918 - XF (Black cap and body with some glitter)

Diyuewen 92 - XF (Black cap and body)

Bulow X450 - M? (Pearl white body and cap)

All fountain pens are fitted with converters for bottled ink.

Pink Koala eraser

Pink Staples eraser

Staples sticky flags

Star-shaped Post-It Notes

Mini legal pad (white paper)

Large plain yellow Post-It Notes

One lined recycled notebook (unknown brand)

I also am including a purple pencil bag with two zipper pockets.

If the winner is interested, I will include a sample of one of my inks (list can be found in my profile).

Look at the picture below!

To qualify:

-You must be a student (high school or college)

-You must have fewer than 10 fountain pens

-You must be in the Con US

I would like interested people to enter by sending me snail mail! (PM me for my address)

In a letter, you should include:

Your name, FPN username, name and location of school, what year you are in, and how many fountain pens you have. I would love a brief story of how you got interested, but it is not required.

This PIF will run until Saturday, March 23rd. (That is when I will pick from the mail that has arrived, NOT the "postmarked by" date).

Good luck! I look forward to the mail!

Maggie

New PIF Parker IM Fountain Pen Silver Chrome Trim

fpn_1361551388__parker-im-fountain-pen-.jpg

For a Fountain Pen Newbie.

My usual rules apply - no previous winners, members may apply on behalf of others.

I will let this run about a week.

(I will have another PIF for children over the weekend - a Pelikano Junior)

This PIF is still current if you're interested (as is the Pelikano PIF for chilren).

Drawing both of these on Friday 1st March in honour of St David's Day - patron saint of Wales!!

:) Cool! I have some Welsh ancestry - maybe this is the one I win.

Last chance to get in on this, only 12 hours left! I will draw tomorrow morning at 5:00 AM PST so if you want in on this, send me a PM!

Offering up a couple of pens today to someone who is interested in those slightly different writing experiences.

- 2 Indian Eyedroppers -

- a red Usha Fosty Micro with an Arabic Italic nib,

- a navy blue Charter "997" reground to a right oblique by US nibmeister Vivek Narayanan

(special thanks to Maja for gifting these at Christmas)

Also included with the 2 pens will be a pipette for filling and 2 ink samples to fill them with - 5ml each of FPN inks Van Gogh Starry Night Blue and Dumas Tulipe Noir.

As my first 2 PIFs (last year) went to 2 very new FPNers and were consequently never heard from again..... I'd like these to go to someone with a little time in

- an FPN member for at least 6 month, with at least 10 posts,

- have the ability to post writing samples once you've received and inked them, (show us your stuff!)

- follow this PIF up with one of your own.

I'll leave this up for :hmm1: lets say, 5 days. I will random.org the entries on Wednesday morning and announce the winner!

PMs preferred.

Good luck to everyone!!! :P

ps - to clarify, both pens and inks are going to one winner - package deal.

Alright, so I have returned. I have a bunch of pens I don't really use, and would like to give one (right now) of them away to an FPN member. However, I don't really have the time to ship any, so if any of you guys are in the area of Berkeley, CA and can make your way to me, I'll throw Shaughn's Parker 25 your way- it is a nice pen, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I am really stuck on my Pilot 78Gs. I can also throw an ink sample of Private Reserve American Blue your way.

Hi! I'm in SF and am very interested if it's still available. I only have a lamy safari and some Diamine florida blue if you'd be interested in taking some of the ink?I don't have a container for it though . . . .

Here’s my first PIF: A Nemosine Singularity F in Grey.

I bought it for my kid to try FPs. She never touched it. I’ve only put enough ink through it to test it. Includes a converter.

To qualify for this PIF you must meet one of these 2 conditions:

  1. You have not won a PIF since Thanksgiving, OR
  2. You have won a PIF since Thanksgiving and you promise to put up a PIF of your own in the next month.

To enter send me a PM with:

  1. Which condition you qualify under, AND
  2. A quote from The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension!

The PIF will end after 7 days or 20 entries, whichever comes first, and will be selected randomly (although any quote that makes me laugh will get an extra entry in the drawing).

It's not funny, but I always loved this quote:
