I've got three Pilot Petit1s to give away.

One has a bent nib, one could be tweaked but writes OK and the other is fine. These are the black and blue/black models. I'll send them out with empty proprietary cartridges that you can fill yourself (they seem very robust for cartridges so they'll probably last a long time for refilling). If you're more adventurous, they're perfect for eyedropper conversion with some silicone grease (I haven't tried this myself, but here's a tutorial) .

They're good compact pens that have a definite "neat" factor, but I have to free up some space in my assortment.

First PM with CONUS, Puerto Rico or USVI shipping address gets them.

Should have clarified: I'm sending all three together, including shipping; thanks for looking but they've been claimed.

Letter entry is a very cool idea John.. and thank you for the offer..

I 've already posted my letter :)

Announcing: The Caveat Emptor Letter Month Lottery!

How to Enter:

As I said, it's a lottery. I want a hand written note (this is a fountain pen forum, after all- and it is Letter Month). I don't care what it says, or how long it is or what stationary it's written on. I would prefer that it's written with a fountain or dip pen, but I don't even require that– since it'd be awesome if this pen went to someone who doesn't actually own a fountain pen. You can send it to my office address, which I've provided below (Actually you can send it to my home address if you want, since I'm exceptionally Googlable, but my office will allow me to organize better, since home is "twin newborn craziness land").

Deadline? Interestingly enough, my one month anniversary on this forum is Valentine's day. That would be the day that I could list this pen for sale, so let's say that your note has to be postmarked by then. I will select the winner randomly from all the notes I get. If you live in the highlands of Kurdistan or even Yellowknife, Canada, we may have to talk about shipping costs. Nothing against Kurdistan or Yellowknife, I just don't feel like being out too much more money on this deal. In the US, I'll just cover the $6 for a flat-rate box.

Hope I'm not making too much of Pay It Forward, just thought I could at least get some fun notes out of the deal.

Cheers,

John Metta

I got my 10 Hero 616 today and according to the fake Hero 616 dimensions post, they are real. Well, now I know why they are so cheap :) Hard to believe there are even cheaper fakes!

I'm giving away two sets of three of those pens. Each set will of course have a black, a red and a green Hero 616:

http://bibu31.de/tmp/hero.JPG

I'll send them next tuesday, so you can apply until monday, February 11th. As I said, those pens are cheap, so the winner will simply be chosen by comparing postage prices. So when you apply, make sure to tell me which country, state and city you'd like the pens to be sent to.

There are no further conditions. Good luck!

I have a Pelikan M200 in black to pass on to a new home. It's in good condition except for a slight gap in the plastic viewing pane, so that if you turn the piston too much it can lead to a leak. Would be ideal for someone who wants to tinker or has an interest in repairing pens. Other than that it really is a nice pen and I'd love it to go to someone who appreciates pens.

Please send me a PM (I'm UK based but I'll post anywhere) and tell me why you'd be the ideal recipient. Winner will be chosen on Sunday at 2100 GMT

I seem to be lucky when it comes to fountain pens. I'm giving away 6 Hero 616 (see above) and am keeping 4. I've been using one of them (F nib, btw) all morning with Herbin Vert Empire ink and it's a lot better than I expected! It's rather smooth, well, of course not as smooth as my Pelikan or Kawecos, but still... It's not scratchy at all, doesn't skip, the width of the line is perfect for me. At first I thought the rings around the ink window are too sharp-edged but in practice I don't even notice them. Those are actually good pens!

Money. I don't accept it, so please don't offer me to pay for the postage fees. Depending on your location it could be cheaper to order 10 Hero 616 from China including P&P than paying for my postage fees. It's a nice gesture, thanks, but in this case it just doesn't make sense.

Edit: The nib is a bit wet, which is fine for a rather thin F nib. Hey, I'm seriously having fun, here!

I've got a 95% full bottle of Private Reserve Ultra Black Fast Dry Ink that I will not be using. I probably filled about 3 converters worth of ink from it. I found a bulletproof black that will be serving my needs better, and rather than have this one sitting in a drawer, I'd hope that someone else could use it.

If you'd like it, let me know! First PM gets it.

Well, that was fast. The ink is spoken for!
